I won't take my animals anywhere else. My cat is the sweetest until he's at the vet, where he gets a little spicy. Dr. Tammy and her entire staff are so great with him! She is the only vet who has been able to provide answers and appropriate care for his condition. I only wish I had found her sooner.

I love the Animal Hospital of McHenry. The staff are great with the animals and Dr. Schmitt is so empathetic, compassionate and understanding. I love the information provided to me about my dog's condition and their sympathy regarding my other pup who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. It's going to be hard to find a vet like this one in my new town!

Whoever the woman is who answers the phone is incredibly rude. She didn’t share her name. Simply asked availability for new customers and vaccine pricing. She refused to provide any information and stated it was to “prevent doctor shopping”. Very reasonable questions. You would think they’d prefer animals to get vaccinated as opposed to refusing to give any information. Left a very bad impression and did not even bother giving them our business. Definitely do not have the animals best interest in mind.

Dr Tammy is always extremely straight forward, kind and knowledgeable. Every time I bring my pets in they immediately take to her and she's always made it a very warm and relaxing environment with quick answers and I always feel confident any tests or suggestions are truly needed and the best care possible. They have accommodated some very urgent matters in the past and are amazing with prompt responses when I need them most. I couldn't be happier with the care they provide to all of my pets.

Dr. Tammy and her entire staff are absolutely amazing! My dog Piper is a little bit of nervous nellie but everyone always goes the extra mile to make her feel more comfortable. This has ranged from giving her treats, toys, pheromone blankets, and pets. The entire staff truly seem to care about Piper and the care she receives at each visit. The “happy visit” option is a huge bonus too which we love to utilize and has seemed to make Piper even more comfortable at the vet. So glad we found your establishment 😀 🐾

Dr. Schmidt & her team ROCK!! They are awesome humans that love our pets. Each staff person treats each pet with care & understand that visits can be scary for them , and their humans. The entire team is super responsive & really connected to their patients. Would recommend highly!!
