My cousin is currently in the hospital and the housekeeping staff stripped her bed and sent her iPhone off to the industrial laundry with her dirty sheets (I was able to locate it via 'find my phone') when she was taken for a test (we think). The staff has been completely unsympathetic, did not try to contact either the housekeeping staff or the laundry, disavowed responsibility and seemed to not give a sh*t. The laundry office is closed for the weekend and the hospital seems to not have an emergency phone number for them. Or, the hospital hasn't bothered to give us one! Turns out the same thing happened to my sister-in-law's brother at another hospital in the very same health care network (Swedish Covenant). Two people in one family? What are the odds? Must be a chronic problem. Which means to me that the staff needs better training--this cannot be blamed solely on the patient. The health care has been fine, but the attitude?

Two surgeries in the past two years. Both performed perfectly, and my recoveries were excellent . Staff were very attentive, informative and kind. Doctor was terrific, had an excellent demeanor and was very patient, providing clear status reports and guidance. I'd definitely go here again (if ever needed).

If it weren’t a literally emergency, I would not go here. Ever. The ER department is highly understaffed and the space is not sufficient for the needs of the patients. The waiting room is incredibly small, making it uncomfortable for the patients and does not allow 6 feet of space between families, allowing sickness and disease to spread. My boyfriend cut his finger badly. He could not feel it or move it. We sat in the waiting room for 7 hours before we gave up and left for another ER. The busy bathrooms were not cleaned in the time we were sitting here.

Doctors and staff want to help and do a great job, but they are so understaffed it’s impossible. Years ago you were seen reasonably fast, now it is always hours. Of course ambulances need to be seen first and triage is necessary but waiting for hours when you feel terrible is just cruel. Let doctors and nurses do their job well by staffing them appropriately. The ER charges us enough to staff it so that people in pain don’t have to be stuck in a waiting room for 4+ hours. Do better endeavor!
