I am deeply disappointed by the care my dog received during her stay. When I dropped her off, she was healthy, but when I picked her up, I was shocked to discover wounds on her nose and both sides of her mouth. It was clear that she had been in distress, and to make matters worse, she hadn’t eaten during her time there. I brought enough food to last for 10 days, but we picked her up a day earlier than planned, and they returned a full 4 days’ worth of food. We had specifically requested to be informed immediately if there were any issues with her, yet no one reached out to us, leaving us in the dark about her well-being.
We reached out and were told she was good. Then, a family member went to ask for her, and they provided her with a picture, from which we could tell she was placed in a small cage which is not where we were shown that she would be staying. We tried calling them, and they didn't answer calls or text messages for an entire day. When they finally returned the call the next day after being threatened that we would call the authorities, they said they were short on staff.
It raises the question: is receiving payment prioritized over our pets' health and happiness? They saw that my dog was suffering yet chose not to contact us, which is simply unacceptable. This situation has left me disappointed and worried about how she was treated while in their care.

I love Dr. Mercado! She is so kind, very practical, doesn’t try to sell you on things that you don’t need or diagnostics that may not be needed. She explains things in the best terms and treats my pets like they were her own. This is such a wonderful vet practice with great staff. Having recently moved to the area, I struggled to find recommendations and was so happy that I chose this vet! My Sweetpea gives them a “paws up” recommendation!

I have taken my 3 dogs and cat here since moving here in the spring. I boarded my dogs for 4 days and the girls who took care of them seemed very nice. There is one receptionist who is very pleasant but the others have no personality, just all business. I thought their prices were very high but it was conveniently located. I asked for an estimate for 2 of my dogs for dental, that’s when I decided to go to another vet. The quotes were very high and I had been told by more than 1 person they were all about the money, always pushing for more to be done. Previously I asked how much it would be to get rabies shot for my cat, $100, took him to a rabies clinic. Estimates for my dogs dentals were hundreds less and the place I took them came very highly recommended.

Dr Mercado was so great! She was gentle and gave us options on how to proceed to make our dog feel better. I highly recommend this animal hospital. We've already seen improvements in our 15.5 year old chihuahua! Thanks so much!!

We needed an appointment for our sick dog and since we just moved we didn’t have a vet yet. I called and they took us in the same afternoon. The staff was so friendly and the Dr. very caring about our dog’s health. Highly recommend!

I lost my beloved pup three days ago. She was obviously not feeling well so I took her here to see if I could get her some relief.
After sitting on the floor with a vet and the technician, explaining that she was almost 17 and what where our issues. I was steered to letting her go because of her age and what I had described.
We had only been sitting on the floor with her for a few minutes. She was NEVER given an exam of any kind and it was agreed that the humane thing would be to let her go.
I was heartbroken but wanted to do the right thing.
They immediately took her out of the room and when they came back she was already unconscious, I hadn't even said my goodbye when they brought her back to the room. They proceeded with the final shot and she was gone in a few seconds.
I sat on the floor with my best friends body for about 25 minutes. I finally couldn't do anymore and I got up and left the room and the office. Noone ever addressed me or offered to let me take my baby girl to a resting place. She was just lying on the floor. I was devastated but thought that's just the way it goes.
I wrote a review of how I felt yesterday. Today I went in to pick up my baby's ashes.
When I mentioned my name at the counter, their was a female veterinarian who looked at me scornfully. She asked if I had given my review as I said and I told her yes I did. She said to me that I needed to change my review, even taking my phone because I don't know much about tech and was having trouble finding the comment that I had made.I deleted the comment not wanting to have a situation as I had an upcoming appointment in the next 15 minutes.
On top of my heartbreak this woman was only concerned with the review of her business. I am appalled.
When they euthanized Kona I just paid their bill and left,I couldn't even think about it at the time, she was my entire life.
Look at this bill and you decide if I'm wrong. As I previously stated, there wasn't any health evaluation or exam. They just put her down when I agreed.
This is not compassion it's pure greed...
They won't even let me post a picture of my invoice...$95.00 for a wellness visit that never even happened, almost $200.00 to euthanize? I have lived here for 46 years and have had several dogs. I will highly recommend everyone I know not to EVER use your facility.

We felt very comfortable from the time we walked in until we left. The doctor and staff were very professional, informative and friendly. We have chosen to have our let’s surgery done at Tails A Waggin.
