My experience with Vista ridge, I give it 5 stars and here is why ....

"I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the outstanding care at Vista Ridge Nursing Facility, and I couldn't be more impressed! The entire staff demonstrated compassion, kindness, and professionalism throughout my visit. Each and everyone there is thoughtful, kind, and compassionate.

The facility itself is spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the delicious meals.

But what truly sets Vista Ridge apart is the exceptional patient care. The nurses, therapists, and doctors are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in each patient's well-being.

Horrible experience. My loved one was on hospice there with Annointed Hospice. They were difficult to reach. The personnel from the Vista Ridge facility leave a lot to be desired. One nurse pulled up my loved one by his shoulder and hit his head on the wall. The other nurse said it was her elbow hitting the wall like if I did not see what happened. My loved one died the following day. Another incident was that my loved one was vomiting and the nurse thought it was secretions. I could not believe it. Another incident was that the nurses and nurses aids did not bother to rotate him every two hours like they said they would. He ended up with bed sores on his heels, back, and buttocks. Another incident was that they did not do oral care on him until I asked. In the meantime he tongue was stuck to the ceiling of his mouth due to dried up secretions. His lips were stuck to his teeth in more than one occasion. Finally, when I was asking the nurses aid what happened before he died they ignored me and said they had to see other patients. When I pressed them to tell because his body was going to be picked by the funeral home they simply said I needed to ask somebody else that was not there. The experience there was horrendous. I reported the incidents three times to the head nurse and of course she protected her personnel. I do not recommend this place to anyone on hospice because they will not be treated well.

I appreciate the time and effort they took to ensure my Moms care was handled with grace and proficiency. I had a few issues that were resolved in a timely manner and her main Nurse Victor was truly a gem! His professionalism and knowledge is top tier! Rachel is also an asset to the team as she guided me through admissions. My hats off to everyone that works in all care facilities but especially this one:) I gave it 4 stars because the facility and rooms could use an update...

Vista Ridge’s care for my mother was beyond 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. All the staff were wonderful but Irene was exceptional, caring, competent compassionate, wonderful. While I hope my Mom doesn’t need their services again, I would not hesitate to admit a loved one to their care.

I only give 2 stars because I know that one star places do exist. Food is terrible, medications are out of control, never on schedule. Place is dirty and run down. Half of the staff are unhappy and hostile. Unqualified staff incorrectly dispenses meds contrary to the schedule or not at all, and contrary to common sense. I have to believe that the positive reviews are nothing but shills. There's no way anyone could write a glowing positive review about this place unless they were paid to. NOT recommended.

I had my mom stay here after her hip replacement, they did an amazing job with her rehab, she could not of recovered fully at home without the rehab and extra nursing.

My grandmother was admitted to Vista Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and I could not be more pleased with the service. The staff is very attentive towards my grandmother and her needs. The food even looks gourmet. My grandmother is normally an extremely picky eater, but she even clears her plate for every meal. I would recommend this facility for anyone's loved one that is needing a place that needs care because theirs is incredible!

My mom recently passed on June 06, 2024 at Vista Ridge. If you care about your loved ones, do not place them here. They are essentially on their own, if they do not have anyone to advocate for them. The rooms are typically dirty and small. The food is awful. I have witness where they provide the same food at lunch and dinner, but it is just presented differently. They pay no attention to dietary needs. The nursing staff and the kitchen often debate who's fault it is that dietary needs are not carried out. Special request such as cutting nails are never done. I visited often to ensure my mom was not soiled. They tell you the check patients every two hours. That is not fact. Often my mother was soiled. I complained to the administrator many times regarding my mom's lack of care. She listened, but seldom were improvements made. I have pictures where diapers, bed linens, clothes, food, etc. were left in the room for hours. The weekends are even worse because the facility is understaffed. When my mom passed, 3Oaks hospice sent me a card and called to convey their condolences. Vista Ridge has yet to call or send me a card yet. The only thing I did receive from this facility is a final bill. I plan to share this information with medicare/ medicaid as well. I believe it is dangerous to keep a loved one at this facility. I do take my hat off to a few nurses, CNAs, PTs, and activity directors who were excellent. Finally, if someone from the facility would return my mom's TV and walker, it would be much appreciated.
