My mom was here for 3 months, rehabilitating after breaking her leg. She has always dreaded going into a facility such as this, so she wasn't happy when she first arrived. The staff at Grapevine Medical Lodge listened to her concerns and addressed any complaints she had. The care she received was superb. By the time she left, she was extremely happy with her stay and complaining that she would miss her friends (the staff). She has had me take her back to visit them. Thank you to everyone at Grapevine Medical Lodge for taking great care of my Mom. She is extremely nit-picky. The fact that she was actually happy being there, in the type of facility she always said I had better not take her to, speaks volumes about the high caliber care you gave.

For our first experience with a rehab/skilled nursing facility, Grapevine Medical Lodge was a great facility. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly. The medical staff was thorough in reviewing and handling medications. Physical therapy was very helpful and beneficial. The food wasn’t bad either! The facility helped arrange home health upon discharge. Would not hesitate to recommend or return if needed.

Let me start by saying I wish I could give this place a zero star review! My mother was placed there yesterday with doctors orders. When my sister went to check her in, they did not have her room ready as they stated, they had no idea she was coming. Then they magically found her information and got her in. Even with the Rocky start, we trusted these people with our mother. My mother‘s pain medication is prescribed for her every 4 to 6 hours as needed. She just came out of a major surgery. She went home first, but fell so we placed her here to make sure she received around the clock care. Well that is not what happened. My mother woke up, realizing that she had urinated on herself and began pressing the button for the nurse to come. A nurse did not arrive for four hours. So you can only imagine that my mother also did not receive her pain medication within any of that timeframe. When my sister arrived to go check on her and realized what was going on they had more excuses than anything else. So as we went to take her out of there and asked her all of her things, including all of her medication‘s, we noticed one was missing . Instead of just bringing it to us, they could just call us in a new order off of the prescription. my sister informed them that that was not going to happen as we just brought her yesterday and that bottle was full. When mention of a lawyer occurred suddenly, the bottle appeared. If you care about your loved one, this is not the location for them. As my sister went to leave They then handed her a piece of paper documenting that they would not be liable for anything and became pretty irate when that was torn up in their faces. They are most definitely liable for my mother’s pain, for anything that happens with her scars, and for any mental anguish that comes from this .

ZERO STARS!!! RUN RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN, DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!! My mother was a patient for only a week… 7 days, she’s oxygen dependent and has to use a CPAP at night. Luckily for my mother I live only 15 minutes away. She was transported here from the hospital to receive PT & OT. She has edema and uses lasix as well. They stopped giving her the lasix because the nurse Nicole told me she pee too much. And that assistant director Lisa, her and Dr Siddiqui works as a team for money only. In 7 days I would visit my mother 1-3 days a day except I missed one day. 3 times I went there and they did not give her oxygen and other times not even her CPAP. The last 3 days she was there she was so weak shaking, couldn’t do anything. They made me cancel her PCP appt and told me they use their own doctor, my mother never seen a doctor. They said the doctor assigned to her the day I wanted to talk to her had an emergency and had to leave then Dr Siddiqui, told me why I wanted to talk to him because he’s not my mom’s doctor but he’s the DIRECTOR that has worked at 15 facilities in only 6 years, He said I’m not your mother doctor, her doctor is out of the country.

Continuation of my review (sltw090870) I had to threaten to call 911 myself for them to take over 2 hrs to call the EMT which was only 5 mins away, they told the EMT my mother was having seizures and I told them it’s not true, I know my mother. Even if it were seizures why you allow her to shake and just lay in bed for 3 days in a dirty diaper shaking. The EMT ruled our seizure right away when they examined my mother, they bump her oxygen up to 4l from 2l. The hospital also ruled our seizure and just as I told them they wasn’t giving her oxygen. Her CO2 was so high her vital organs were shutting down that she had to be put in ICU on breathing machine. She had a bed soar and had fallen 2 times even after telling them she was a fall risk. They sit around laughing and talking and ignore you as if you’re at the nurse station to join in on the conversation. I was able to obtain some of her notes when the administration wasn’t there to find out they wasn’t even giving her the medication as prescribed by the discharge instructions they received from the hospital. Val the man nurse asks me to sign blank legal documents so he can put what he want and got mad because I refused to sign until he completed the paperwork. They allowed me to sign all her documents in my name but when I requested a copy of her medical records they would not allow me to sign the release form but every document on file is signed by me not my mother. Thank God the hospital and the EMT were able to rule out seizure As they claim and show proof that it was true, they were not giving her oxygen or CPAP and even if they gave her the CPAP they did not fill it with water causing damages to her throat. My mother walked in there just for PT and OT that’s it and ended up in ICU fighting for her life on a breathing machine. Lisa did not say sorry she defended them not giving my mom the oxygen and CPAP. She said they cannot make the patient wear or take the oxygen but it was their negligence because only they could give it to her, my mother was in no position to reach the devices or able to reach to even do it. They had to come and do it and they fell doing that many times I went in there. I had to set it up. I’ll give her oxygen or my brother. They claim my mom will take off the devices and hurry up and rush and put the oxygen things back on when she knew I was coming. I never made an announcement to my mother to let her know I was coming plus, she couldn’t even get out of the bed after she went there due to lack and oxygen her CO2 was so high there’s no way medically or physically the hospital said she could have done that. Just a bit so long she would’ve died the hospital said “death” in less than a week she had a stage 2 bed soar and bruises all over her abdomen. I’ve made complaints to the State of Texas and Medicare. Medicare said they did not even informed them that she was no longer in the facility. If you take your sickly parents here always visit them ALWAYS and monitor them, thank God I did.

Grapevine Medical Lodge is one of the only 5-star communities that serves the Grapevine Colleyville and surrounding areas. I own a caregiving agency and refer to them from both professional and personal needs. I know they will take great care of my referrals.

WORST place in the metroplex. If you want a family member neglected or mistreated take them here. The night staff are horrible. They don't want to work. They just stand around and talk, and they are all foreign. It takes forever to get a call button answered and when the finally do, they are rude, sarcastic, and hateful. My mom has been there for three weeks for rehab and hasn't left the bed, no bath, no sheets, no brushing her teeth. The meals are always cold, and so are the staff.

I was a resident of this facility for following leg surgery. I was pleasantly surprised. The facility was clean. My room was cleaned
daily and linens changed every 2 days. The staff was competent, supportive and pleasant. The management did a great job of keeping my contacts aware of my condition and progress. I was pleased with the whole experience.Thank You
