One of the most dedicated, caring, and professional set of doctors and assistants we have ever met with. From her attention to detail to the time that Dr Samar Khan always takes to examine, diagnose, treat, and explain everything is amazing. Can't recommend Dr Khan and the rest of the team highly enough.

We love the Pen Pet team! We went with Pen Pet as they offered laparoscopic spay with gastroplexy which we were looking for with our GSD. Dr. Harish did a wonderful job and the recovery was perfect and much better than our friends who did traditional spay.

We also truly appreciate how responsive and kind the entire staff at Pen Pet is. Every time we had any concerns, we were able to call/email and get super helpful and detailed support. Honestly the best vet we’ve ever had, and we are so thankful our primary vet is so awesome.

I recently took my cat to this vet clinic and was extremely disappointed with the service. As a medical student, I was particularly shocked by the unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge displayed by the staff.

My cat had been vomiting and not eating for three days, so I suspected gastroenteritis and requested an in-house blood test and some medication. I declined additional tests, which seemed to offend the staff. Their attitude turned arrogant and dismissive from that point onward.

When the blood test results came back, several indicators were off, suggesting inflammation. Despite this, the doctor brushed it off, claiming it was nothing serious and did not prescribe any medication or provide any conclusions. Instead, they insisted on doing an ultrasound and then disappeared after speaking with me for less than five minutes.

Concerned about my cat's worsening condition, I asked if they could prescribe anti-inflammatory medication. I waited for half an hour, asking three different nurses before the doctor finally reappeared. I happened to be on a call, and the doctor rudely told me to hang up, stating they were too busy and had already explained everything to me. They refused to prescribe any medication without an ultrasound.

Throughout the visit, the staff's attitude was condescending and unprofessional. My cat hadn't eaten for three days, yet the doctor seemed more interested in pushing canned food than addressing the medical issue. They took the food inside to my cat, came out immediately, and said my cat refused to eat.

As a medical student, I strongly advise against taking your pets to this clinic. The doctors are dismissive, lack medical knowledge, and are more interested in pushing unnecessary procedures than providing genuine care. Avoid this place at all costs.

Beware of the abundance of foxtail in their parking lot! It’s the number one cause of emergency vet visits in the summer, and it’s baffling to me that a vet office would allow it to grow wild on their property!

Edit: it looks like they relandscaped and got rid of the foxtail ☺️

They threaten to kill every stray cat I bring in I had to adopt 2 of them because they called me saying they were gonna put them down. They’re completely fine, they don’t have any behavioral issues like they claimed and are extremely loving

Peninsula Pet Hospital is simply the best! My family has been taking our dogs here for over a decade and I even drive from Santa Clara to take my four senior dogs to see them.

They are very knowledgeable and have a great network for referrals.

Peninsula Pet Hospital takes excellent care of my dog, Nori! The doctors and support staff are kind and professional. Nori has had routine exams/vaccinations, dental care without anesthesia and emergency care. Every experience has been great.I highly recommend!

Our dog has been going to PPH since he was a puppy. He always gets the greatest care from the various vets and techs there. He stepped on a piece of glass at a dog park once and got a fairly bad laceration on his paw pad. NYE of all days to get it. So we had to take him to vet urgent care. But he was able to get his dressing off right away and we then took him to PPH as soon as they were open on 1/2. They rebandaged him (and it was so well done we didn’t even have to put his cone of shame back on), got him in for a check up again soon after. Healed beautifully! We’ve seen Dr. Harish, Dr. Ulla, and another vet (India - who isn’t there anymore). Our dog (and we) love all of them.
