A family member of mine was admitted to Stratford for rehabilitation. She says the food was good, the nurses were friendly, and she enjoyed the therapist. Also, the Admissions director was very welcoming and helped us get settled in with ease. Not to mention, their hallways smell great!!

I’m reviewing the care my older brother receives at this excellent facility. Suffering a spinal cord injury victim as a youth, he is now facing a decline due to autonomic dysreflexia and is in a Hospice program. Unable to provide for him at home, our family selected Stratford Rehab for his care. We are so glad we did.

This is a relatively small skilled-nursing facility, only about 60 beds. It is nicely updated and there is a contagious positivity among the staff that is wonderful to see. Their sincere kindness and can-do spirit truly brightens the climate at Stratford. And that spills over to the smiles I see on the residents’ faces.

Our brother is very happy with the staff, the food, the cleanliness and the level of care. And we see an actual improvement in his health and outlook. Our sincere thanks to all for the workers’ spirit and efforts.

Great little place if you're looking for personal attention for a loved one or family member. The staff is friendly and actually a lot of fun. My sister in law loves it there!

I am so glad we chose Stratford for my mother. We have seen a big improvement in the care and compassion of patients in the last 4 weeks.
Physical therapy has been so kind and helping her get her strength back. We appreciate everyone there.

I’ve heard nothing less than terrible things since the new DON has started. It appears that she favors certain staff and makes excuses for their poor job performance. Those whom she does not favor are quickly suspended and fired. Why is everyone not being held to the same standard? Smh is Stratford representing modern day racism? Sad when most residents are predominantly African American in this facility. Very scary. Will our families face the same discrimination?

If I could give no stars I would. The new DON Danielle is absolutely horrible. She is a habitual job hopper who goes to facilities and runs all of the good employees away. Since she has been there 5 nurses have put in notices. She is even running off the CNAs, who will care for our family members if she continuously fires or runs off good staff! She portrays it as she is helping the company but is really running it into the ground. She micromanages and seems as if she discriminates against people of color.

Alongside new leadership and new rules put in place, stratford has changed for the better. Our office and nursing staff do what needs to be done to keep our facility and patients happy and healthy.

There’s ALOT to complain about when it comes to the livelihood of my family member BUT hey what do you expect when there’s a long hall full of elders in need with maybe 3 CNAs in sight. During my evening visit I couldn’t help but over hear conversations regarding a CNAs safety. A nursing facility that’s practically in “the hood” area of Danville, VA and you have zero outside cameras and security to protect your staff. Really makes me scared to have my family member there not knowing if their safety is a priority after I leave.
