We were very happy with Candlewick Kennels in Glastonbury, CT. We boarded our furkid dog for 3 days. It was a great process from scheduling to check out. We signed him up for their doggy daycare while he was there so that he wouldn’t be alone all day. He had a free assessment before he arrived to be sure he would be a good candidate for mingling with a group of dogs. He passed and he loved it. We watched him on live CAMS. We knew he was happy. They gave him his meds! Staff is wonderful. He always gets groomed there.

Can’t recommend Candlewick Kennels enough! After a really bad experience at another local daycare/boarding facility, I was hesitant to bring my dog anywhere else — until I found Candlewick Kennels. I know my dog is in great hands here! He absolutely LOVES going to boarding / daycare. The staff is always so pleasant & I can tell they really care about all the dogs. They communicate any concerns immediately & are super responsive. Truly cannot recommend this place enough for any / all of your pet needs 🙂

This place is awesome. Great, friendly, efficient service at good prices. I had my Bernedoodle puppy’s first grooming done here yesterday and he looks like a brand new pup, in a great way!! Jessica did a fantastic job and we’ll be returning every month for a bath and brush at least until he’s a year old. And will continue to use for grooming.

Candlewick is great! My dogs love staying there and the staff is amazing. They were very accommodating at pick up when there was a misunderstanding on my part. I highly recommend for daycare and boarding.

I have been boarding my dog at Candlewick for the past 2 years. Also am frequently using daycare to keep him socialized. The staff is great and prices are similar to others. I love the web cam so I can check in whenever I want. I highly recommend.

Candlewick had been recommended to me by my vet and others. The wooded setting and tour of the facility impressed me and I spoke to several staff. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable. But since I had never boarded my 2 very anxious (rescue) pups before I was full of apprehension. Would they think I had abandoned them? Would they regress back to the screaming fearful wild dogs they had been when I first rescued them? After 2 days of boarding I came to pick up Scout and Roz. After jumping all over me with excited kisses they also ran up to everyone in the waiting areas for additional pets and greetings. They had enjoyed themselves and were so happy, which made me happy. I will recommend Candlewick to anyone looking to boarding for their babies.

Candlewick is the only place my wife and I are comfortable bringing our dog Iroh. The staff are always friendly, and remember him. Anytime he’s boarded their communication has been top notch. He once had an upset stomach while staying with them, and they called me and made a plan to add rice to his meals and keep us updated. We feel like he is safe and cared for, every single time.

Doggie daycare is great, and they have live cameras so you can see how the dogs interact. There is always plenty of staff members.

Their groomers are amazing and have an immense amount of patience. My dog is very energetic, and they do amazing work on him and he never comes home stressed. The groomer always checks what we want done first, and he comes home smelling amazing.

This facility is 25 minutes from my house and we will never use anyone closer, peace of mind is huge.
