Do not use this facility. Very dishonest, unprofessional, rude. The rooms are nasty. Staff very unfriendly. Kristal was the office manager at the time. She was very very dishonest with handling patients finances. If I could give a zero rating I would.

Horrible ! Rough housing with elderly residents , leaving them poopy until the next shift, NO organization , they barley have diapers & wipes for the people staying there. They smoke with the residents and run store arrands while still on the clock . Do not work here ! Pay is nice but don’t let that risk your cna being token behind ppl who only work for money and not because it’s a passion.

Misty is a special aide for me here at shrc. But then, she´s probably has several other residents here who feel the same way. She´s that way…she makes all of us feel special. Misty warms some of my food when itś needed without batting an eye–which are lovely. She has long hair. She´s a beautiful young woman. I thought she was not long out of high school. But today, after warming up my manicotti which david had brought me, she mentioned that her daughters liked those pre-packaged meals. Daughters? Yes, she told me she has 5 kids!! Can´t tell a book by it´s cover.

If your loved one is headed to this location, please reconsider. The living conditions rival workhouses from the 19th century, and the staff runs the location in the same manner.

My sister's roommates included roaches and other assorted members of the insect family. Apparently the cleaning service was on strike, or someone forgot to pay the bill. Just outside the open windows (the AC was not in order) a menagerie of vapors, smokers and other people loitering made for unwelcome company. Anyone in need of rest will struggle to sleep or even relax amidst the din, fumes and odors.

Sadly the nurse charged with the care of my sister felt the need to bully her. Apparently this nurse went to the same school as Ben Stiller's character in Happy Gilmore. "Read the name tag!" Any suggestion or request was met with a condescending attitude and a reminder of who needed whom. When we informed the nurse of our desire to procur new arrangements, she threatened us with financial ruin. Apparently insurance would not pay for hospital bills and other services es rendered, if she sought new accommodations. Of course this is not true.

If you have no way out of this situation, I would research the laws that apply to your care and the policies of the "rehab" center as well. The staff does not enjoy their job and are not above passing their misery onto those in their care.

This place let my dad die.

My father was admitted back in the spring due to ongoing problems stemming from dementia. Though he continued to decline while he was there, the staff seemed friendly enough -- though they were drastically understaffed, and it took a long time to speak to any staff member. Shortly after arriving he had developed a habit of eating much too quickly (a side effect of the dementia), and when we met with the heads of staff my mother and I informed them about this problem and told them that he needed to be watched during meals to ensure that he didn't choke. We tried to be there as much as possible but I work and mom doesn't drive anymore so she depended on me to bring her there to see him. Despite having told several staff members about the possibility of choking, we received a call less than a week after he arrived at the facility that he had gone into cardiac arrest and had been transported to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, we were told that he had been declared DOA and that his airway was completely blocked by food. When we received the coroner's report a few months later, it indeed listed the cause of death as asphyxiation.

Don't send your elderly relatives here!!!

If there is any proof needed that society doesn't value and respect the disabled and the elders of our community this is the place that proves that to be true. This toilet toilet bowl of a business should not be allowed to operate none what so ever. In my time working there as a CNA I had never seen such laziness from nurses until then. They absolutely will not and I mean will NOT EVER get up and help those aides. An aide can be by themselves with 12 residents to take care of and the nurses won't even lift a finger and answer a call light. Talk about entitlement! Hmmmmm! Place isn't sanitary they just refuse to understand that you can't get quality help for that chump change they are giving out. You think the administration really cares? ABSOLUTELY NOT!There are far better places to get care for you loved ones then that place. -5 stars if I could.

I am terribly saddened at the conditions of this facility. When my friend was transferred from St Francis to this facility for antibiotic therapy and physical therapy, we had high hopes. The room she was admitted into was dirty. I had to bring cleaner to clean the bathroom and room. I had to literally clean the walls, door, mirror, toilet, and mirror of this room. There was a yellow and brown substance all over. There was medical tape holding the soap dispenser together. The towel holder was hanging from the wall, the paint was disgusting. There was no air conditioning and we couldn't open the patio door, due to the smoking area being right there. The electric would go off, and there were bugs on the wall that night. The med aide yelled and refused to give medication. The DON was absolutely unprofessional. According to APS, her behavior was legally verbal assault. We ended up calling EMSA to transport her back to the hospital. She had been vomiting for over 8 hours and had not been given any fluids or assistance in being cleaned. The CNA was running around busy, and it was taking 20 minutes for the call light to be answered. I have been in the medical field for 20 plus years between EMS and hospital. It was appalling. I would not send my worst enemy here. Just beware and make sure you do your homework before letting a loved one be sent to this facility. Hopefully after APS does their investigation, things will change.

We consider this to be a "Golden Rule" kind of place and a miracle to our family. We found wonderful people with compassionate hearts that create a family atmosphere. They work diligently to meet the needs of every patient. The staff knows the patient's names and most importantly....they know why the patient is there. Goal setting, collaboration, and synergy at its finest! Its comforting to hear the laughter coming from the patients and staff interacting. They welcomed us with wide open arms, amazing food, a listening ear, and honest conversations. The fun lighthearted activities cultivate wonderful relationships among the patients. It is a kind hearted place who believes in the success of their patients. My 85 year old aunt recovered quickly from back surgery because of them. They gave her the most important gift you can ever give someone....their independence. We are forever grateful.
