After about 9 months of being with Zen dogs, I think it's about time that I share the love. This daycare is the best best thing I could've asked for for my 1.5 year old dog Enoki! I can tell through her expressions in all of the photos shared by the Zen Dogs team and her reactions when I drop her off every day (I go 5 days/week) that she adores being there. She comes home super tuckered out and has developed fantastic social skills with all dogs large and small.

I also greatly appreciate how much all of the staff truly care and love all of the dogs. Around when I first got Eno, she suffered from a pelvic fracture and I informed the daycare staff of this injury when we first joined. During one of my earlier training sessions with her and a staff member 1:1, I found out that he had been giving her some PT stretches and massages throughout the day whenever she approaches him. He demonstrated them to me so that I could also perform them at home to improve her mobility and she seemed completely unfazed! Along with this, I was able to walk through their rest area and see for myself the kinds of kennels the dogs stay in during their naps. I prefer the concept of rotations of play and rest so that the dogs don't get overwhelmed (this was one of my reasons for choosing Zen), but, as an owner, thinking of your dog in confinement can come with some nerves. All my worries vanished when I saw the kennels: they were spacious, cushioned and I even found out that they will give dogs antlers or toys to keep themselves occupied during down time depending on what they prefer. These are the kinds of things that I feel other daycares would advertise and charge extra for; but, at Zen, they treat the dogs well because they care as much as we do.

Love love love this place! I never want to move for as long as she lives just because I can't bear the idea of moving her out of this daycare hahaha. Thank you all so much from me and Eno!

I’ve been taking my mini golden doodle (Luna) to Zen since I rescued her around 5 months old. When I rescued Luna, she had bad separation anxiety. The Zen team was absolutely incredible working with her and allowing her to bloom and thrive! The Zen team was always available for training and nutrition consultations. The team is absolutely incredible and every dog owner should consider sending their pup here!! My dog is truly happiest when she’s at Zen! We sadly had to relocate to Austin, TX and were so sad to leave the pack. I’ve interviewed and toured many daycare facilities in Austin and none compare to Zen! You won’t be disappointed with the team and this facility!

This review is long overdue, as we’ve been sending our 16(!) year old dog to Zen Dogs most of her life. Initially to the Fulton location and now to Logan as well! We trust Cynthia and team completely. Everyone is knowledgeable and professional. Recently had some questions about daycare for our geriatric dog and they were so kind/knowledgeable/helpful, which is consistent with our experience throughout the years. Really cannot recommend them enough!

If there were more stars, I would give them. We started our pup with their Puppy Head start training, which was fantastic, and had him as part of the pack ever since. Zen has been a fantastic environment, great for training, great for boarding, and showed they really care about your dog. I couldn't recommend more.

We’ve been taking our 3 year old Samoyed here for nearly 2 years and have had a fantastic experience with daycare, boarding, and training. We appreciate their model for caring for dogs. Other places would just “run” our pup out, while Zen ensures they rest and don’t just get “wired and tired”. Staff are down to earth and kind.

This post is LONG OVERDUE. If you're thinking about ZenDogs for your dog, let me tell you: don't wait another second, just go!! ZenDogs has been the BIGGEST blessing for my dog, Mattie, and me. Mattie started going to ZenDogs in June 2023, and honestly my only regret is that I wish we'd found them sooner. They're the nicest, most caring dog daycare in Chicago, hands down. Everyone there, Cynthia the owner and the whole ZenDogs crew, truly understand dogs and love them like their own.

Every person working at ZenDogs is educated and knowledgable about dogs, which means Mattie is always in good hands. Since she's been going there, I've never seen her happier. ZenDogs has the best, holistic approach where dogs get to take breaks throughout the day, so they actually learn how to self regulate and are not just running around non-stop all day. I also really appreciated that before Mattie could join the pack, she had to do a meet and greet to make sure she'd fit in okay and ensure she was ready for this daycare family. Other dog daycares that Mattie had gone to prior to ZenDogs didn't require any meet and greet, which ended in Mattie coming home injured several times, due to aggressive/reactive dogs that OTHER facilities let join.

I've also done extensive training sessions with Alex and Jesus (the ZenDogs Trainers), and wow, I can't say enough how amazingly skilled they are. Mattie is the sweetest girl, but before Jesus and Alex, she was the typical, overly excited, jumping on everyone, big goofy Bernedoodle. Alex and Jesus are so skilled, so patient, and have taught me so much about how to be a better dog owner for Mattie. Even after training is over, they are ALWAYS there to help me and offer guidance.
I lastly can't forget to give a shout out to Michael who is the BEST and most professional Doggy Daycare Driver who picks Mattie up every morning! Mike shows Mattie so much love and she is beyond excited to see him every time he walks in.

So, if you're looking for the highest quality dog daycare where your dog will be loved, cared for, and come home happy every day, ZenDogs is the place. It shocks me that anyone could give ZenDogs a bad review, because it's just not even remotely accurate. I can't thank ZenDogs enough for everything they've done for Mattie and me. They've made such a big difference in our lives and leaving Mattie there while I'm at work feels like I'm leaving her with family. The owner Cynthia is very unprofessional. They lack communication and organization. They keep the dogs outside in freezing temperatures. They lack knowledge of proper animal care and take on more dogs than they can handle. Its sad to see a company that would risk the comfort and safety of animals for financial benefits.
