We have been bringing our pooch here for his annual exams and vaccines since we adopted him 5 years ago. They are very responsive and friendly. We have had to have some more intensive treatment too. He had a cyst that they drained and did a biopsy on. It was benign but we decided to have it removed because it kept filling up. The procedure went smoothly, they called as soon as he was awake and able to be picked up, they called us to check in on him that night and the next day. We are so happy with the treatment he receives at this veterinary hospital that come all the way from Oakland for them.

I brought my cat here on 9/20/24 for skin issues and anxious behavior-peeing outside of his litter box- and had spoken with Dr. Beam about this previously and she had recommended anxiety medication. She prescribed him a medication and I gave him the dosage she prescribed of xanax, even though I thought it was strange that she would prescribe xanax to take daily and not something like prozac instead...The next morning, my cat was falling over, couldn't walk, was chugging water, and ravenously hungry. I took him to a different vet to see what was wrong with him and she said the dosage on the medication I gave him was 10x stronger than what it should have been for his weight!!!!!!!!!! That is a HUGE difference and mess up. Since that, I have been calling/emailing over the past two months now to speak with a manager about this and have been given the run around every time and not heard back from anyone. I am beyond pissed and would never again recommend anyone taking their pet here.

I have been coming to this practice for 13 years. I now have my fourth and fifth cavalier king Charles in their care. They are gentle informative, and I know my dogs are in the best of care. I recommend them highly

Their services are very expensive, but they’re very nice and take very good care of their pets. I’ve been going there often for the past year and a half, and really appreciate their dedication to my dog

Dr. Beam is an AMAZING veterinarian!!! She is so knowledgeable and confident with all dog breeds and temperaments. I’ve brought two aggressive dogs to this office without any problems, whereas other vet offices have turned us down and we’re not capable of handling all dog behaviors.

I would NEVER recommend this vet to anyone. My dog died because they refused to check his bloodwork for diabetes although I asked them if they were sure it's not diabetes. He got bloodwork in January that showed hypothyroidism, but when the dr called me back (Dr. Beam) she failed to mention anything was wrong with his thyroid. By the time he started showing symptoms of diabetes a month after the bloodwork, they decided to recheck his blood results and told me he possibly has hypothyroidism... they confirmed his hypothyroidism and even though he had severe symptoms of diabetes, but they didn't check at all and I asked several times if they thought it could be diabetes. Dr. Wong kept saying no. my dog went into DKA and died. I tried everything I could to save him. This place is a joke! Do not try to save money like I did ... take your pet to someone who will let you advocate for your dog instead of saying "no" to very clear symptoms. My dog suffered for days in an emergency vet because they did not want to do a simple test for diabetes when I asked. Also- the office manager Monique Ward refuses to call anyone back in regard to their dog dying and seeking reimbursement ... so please just don't go here. The way they have not dealt with anything in my case is absolutely disgusting - even after Monique said in an in person meeting after my dogs death she would try to work with me and try to get me reimbursed.. You will definitely be sorry if you take your pet here!
