I am a life long client of Windcrest and would not trust my pets to anyone else. Last Friday, I brought my 15 year old kitty in for a sick appointment because she was not eating and very lethargic. Dr Namey did an exam on her and discovered she had a large mass in her abdomen. After an ultrasound and x-ray, she confirmed that my sweet Matilda had enlarged spleen, liver, lymph nodes and fluid in her lungs and around her abdomen. Devastating news. It was cancer. My kitty was jaundiced as well. Dr Namey was very compassionate, as she ALWAYS is with me, and explained everything in detail. Also, Heather, my tech was fantastic and showed she really cared about my Matilda. I opted to give her palliative care at home in hopes to make her final days a little happier. On Sunday night, around 10PM, she was having difficulty breathing with her mouth wide open. I called the ER and they told me to bring her right in. When I arrived, they took me right in (I was an emotional mess) and informed the Dr that I did not want my kitty to suffer any longer and made the decision to help her cross the rainbow bridge. The ER tech and ER Dr were wonderful and compassionate. Thank you to everyone at Windcrest for all you do for our furry families.

We had an emergency with our 3 1/2 year-old Doberman. He ate a few of my toddlers socks and could not pass them. He unfortunately needed to have emergency surgery to remove the foreign objects out of his stomach and intestines. It was very serious. The emergency doctors at Windcrest Animal Hospital as well as the technicians and other staff members were absolutely incredible. They saved my dogs life! Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Snijders were so kind and compassionate throughout the whole ordeal. Our dog was in the ICU for a number of days and I felt very comfortable having our dog in their care. The vet techs were also absolutely wonderful. Everyone in that building was so kind and compassionate throughout the entire few days he was there. Now my dog is on the road to recovery and they have been very easy to get a hold of to answer any questions I have. It’s just been an all-around great experience. thank you to the emergency doctors and staff for saving my dog. I wouldn’t know what to do without him.

My precious Coco passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer. I placed a call to Windcrest Animal Hospital and they received her DOA. They were very compassionate and we felt our fur baby’s remains were in good care. I received the remains in a timely manner in a neatly packaged way with a card of sympathy and condolences. Thank you for your kindness during our time of grief and sorrow.

We recently brought our dog here because she was vomiting blood. The people at this vet were extraordinary. They brought blankets in every time we needed them, they held and pet our dog. They spoke to us and her with so much compassion and empathy and they treated her like a human. You would never believe how kind they were. They gave us several different options and recommendations on how to proceed. In the end we had to make the very difficult decision to put our dog down because she had so many other pre-existing conditions on top of her current problem. It was overwhelming and heartbreaking but the doctors and techs here were so gentle and loving with our dog and with us. They treated her like she was their own pet. Days later we received a handwritten card signed and messaged with a personalized message about our dog from everyone who cared for her. This was so touching and showed they actually love animals and care about their job. Thank you for everything you did for us!

This is a hard review to write, given the nature of my visit. But I cannot say more positive things about this facility. I brought in my guinea pig who was struggling to breathe. Every staff member was unbelievably patient, professional, and caring. They gave me as much time as I needed and helped me make one of the hardest decisions. Ultimately, my baby girl needed help crossing over and they were so compassionate and sympathetic. Thank you for your care today.

I was extremely disappointed with the care my girlfriend's dog received. The prices were outrageously high, with a $3,000 deposit upfront, yet the quality of care didn’t match. The dog was suffering from diabetes and she received conflicting guidance from different vets. Initially, they insisted she wouldn't be released until her ketone levels were zero, only to abruptly send her home while her levels were still dangerously high. She was discharged with seven different medications, which was overwhelming for my girlfriend to manage.

Her condition quickly deteriorated, and we had to bring her back the same day, requiring yet another $3,000 deposit. The receiving vet mentioned that she had been sent home too early and just needed more time there to zero out her ketone levels. Later, my girlfriend received a call stating that they needed to do additional scans of her pancreas. Afterward, two different vets informed her that the dog should be euthanized the following day.

To be fair, some of the technicians were kind and tried to be helpful, which was appreciated. However, the experience of putting her down still felt cold and transactional. I specifically requested pain medication for her prior to the procedure, as she was in severe pain due to swollen organs, and the assistant’s condescending response of, "Before euthanasia?" left a bitter taste.

While I understand that this place is a business, its practices show a significant lack of empathy and compassion for the animals in its care. I urge anyone seeking veterinary help to look elsewhere, where your pet’s life and wellbeing will be valued as more than just a financial transaction.

We had a dog that had a seizure around 2 o’clock in the morning. We called around and one of the facilities we tried to get into was full so they Windcrest. The experience was absolutely unacceptable. Our dog couldn’t stand because he was having seizures and the assistant asked if we could put them on the scale so we could get a weight. Then we went into a very cold waiting room exam room we proceeded to wait until the vet came in. When the vet came in, very unprofessional she was in the middle of explaining things to us, yawned, and didn’t even apologize. I was very taken back by this. Then she proceeded to tell us that the dog more than likely had a brain tumor, and his conditions would probably not improve. Once we made the decision that we wanted to put the dog down so he didn’t have to suffer. They brought a blanket that was filled with holes and said if we wanted to put them in the blanket while they did the procedure. My partner held a dog while he did the procedure, and the vet went on to say we could leave his dead body on the table and ring the doorbell to let them know that we were leaving. Who does this? I would absolutely not recommend them I would look for another vet.

Windcrest is the best for boarding and overall pet care! I have been bringing our Lucy,a mixed breed rescue, for over 3 years and have never been disappointed.
