We first met Dr. Erwin to help treat my 14yo dog Jessie's severe arthritis. She was wonderful with Jessie and so knowledgeable. She would share her process and procedure every step of the way, always asking me if I had questions or offering recommendations when she could see I was concerned. She is kind, sweet, calm, thoughtful and has just an overall awesome bedside manner. She is beyond wise and provides educational information with such ease, she is a great teacher. We had so many wonderful conversations during Jessie's treatments - like talking to a friend who really cares.

Jessie eventually and unfortunately lost the ability to walk properly and was in pain. Again, I called Dr. Erwin, but sadly, it was to help Jessie through her last journey.

Our hearts are broken, losing a fur baby and especially a "heart dog" is never easy.
She made that time so peaceful, so gentle and treated us and more importantly Jessie like family... with great dignity and respect.

She let us take our time, asking to hear stories about Jess. We laughed, we cried and then she helped shepherd Jessie home.

Dr. Erwin, our family is forever grateful for the love, comfort and peace you provided us during this difficult time. Thank you for being an amazing Veterinarian and a wonderful person!

The amount of love and care Dr Erwin and he team is something I have never seen before. We first started using Dr Erwin after our dogs had canine ACL surgery many years ago and have been going ever since. Now one of our boys has cancer and with the help of Dr Erwin we our doing our best to keep him happy. We are also seeing an oncologist. When ever we leave the oncologist we are depressed but after seeing Dr Erwin we feel it’s not hopeless. Dr Erwin and her team is by far the most caring Dr I have seen. That goes for both vet and people. I can’t say enough about her practice and highly recommend

We have known Dr. Edwin and her husband Jeremy for over ten years. She has guided us thru some emotional times, and helped us with the decisions we have made for the comfort and well-being of our pets. We have a certified therapy dog who has brought a lot of joy to many people. He has been diagnosed with a serious problem with his ACL. It was recommended that he have surgery. I was not ready to move forward with the treatment. Dr. Edwin was willing to try some alternative treatment first. We have had such great success, that I think we will be able to continue without surgery. My sweet boy, Snoop Dogg, is happy and will continue to bring comfort to the people he visits.

My Miss Ella is so much better since she has been treated at Wholistic Paws Veterinary Services. She was in a lot of pain and not doing well at all. She is now more like her old self wanting to play fetch and explore the yard. It is because of Wholistic Paws that she is so much better. Every month since 2021, we have been happily taking our 17-year-old chihuahua Riley to Dr. Krisi Erwin and Dr. Hannah Powell at Wholistic Paws so that he can feel his very best. He has many health problems, and there are no words to express how appreciative we are that Wholistic Paws is there to help us. For example, Riley arrives for an appointment with neck, shoulder, leg, and back pain and stiffness, and after cold laser and acupuncture treatments to reduce pain and inflammation, he does zoomies and regains his ability to climb up to curbs, run up the stairs, jump up to the couch, and walk for miles. But recently, he broke a paw, and we witnessed how truly extraordinary the entire team at Wholistic Paws is. We recommend this practice to everyone who wants their dog or cat to feel their very best, at any stage of life.

Here is what the team did for us when Riley broke three bones in his paw in May. Our 2-hour appointment included four experts: Dr. Erwin, Dr. Jane Currie Kaye, Jeremy Erwin, and Kasey Braun. Having the team care so much meant the world to my boyfriend and me. We were feeling overwhelmed because the strong pain drugs and an overly large leg splint he’d gotten from the veterinary hospital were causing many new problems for our dog.

Kasey’s expertise is canine rehab, and she quickly went to work with cold laser therapy for the swollen and very painful paw. Kasey detected that Riley was having constant muscle spasms in his shoulder as a result of the large splint and so she massaged him. She prescribed heat therapy and massage for his shoulder at home, too.

Dr. Currie called around and located a shorter, lighter, less cumbersome splint, and Jeremy immediately ran over to Ashburn Animal Hospital to retrieve it. Jeremy cut the splint to fit Riley, and he also provided us with a soft Velcro fabric boot to place over the bandaged paw to keep it dry.

Dr. Currie carefully answered all of our questions about the many side effects from the strong drugs. Having her take all of our concerns seriously really helped us breathe easier.
For pain relief for Riley, Dr. Currie contacted a nearby compounding pharmacy and asked them to give us the tiny tab form of a pain reliever right away. To help promote new bone development, Dr. Erwin prescribed Chinese medicine, and Jeremy placed the order on our behalf so that the tea pills would be shipped to our home. Dr. Erwin also recommended using an Assisi loop, which is a device that delivers a pulsed electromagnetic field to reduce pain and inflammation. Jeremy helped us to acquire a coil right away.

We arrived that morning feeling bewildered and helpless, and we left with a multipronged approach for healing Riley! And he did heal completely! Once again, people on our walks are assuming that he’s a happy puppy, rather than a 17-year-old.

Wholistic Paws has been an amazing and incredible experience for our German Shepard! All the doctors are compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. It’s such a relief to find a place where we trust everyone with our dog. Wholistic Paws has been simply wonderful! My torti, Knack, first started seeing Dr. Erwin for a persistent limp. After a couple laser therapy and acupuncture sessions she was back to her normal spunky self. Even playing with her favorite stuffed pumpkin! Dr. Erwin always takes her time and makes sure that each visit is comfortable for both animal and human. Knack thoroughly enjoys each session. Either rolling around making biscuits or sitting in the content loaf position when it's time for the acupuncture needles. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this practice!! They are amazing in every sense of the word.

Wholistic Paws was recommended to us for when we had to put our 16 year old beagle to sleep at home due to old age and various medical issues.
I gave my initial 5 star review 5 years ago with no comments so I wanted to share our experience.
They were amazing throughout the entire process. They explained every step and were very patient and kind. They softened an incredibly difficult time for our family which meant so much to all of us.
They provided our children with clippings and included very thoughtful notes and items when they returned his ashes. I still have wildflowers growing from the seeds they gifted us.
I highly recommend this practice.
