Absolutely thrilled with the service here. Our typical vet is Teegarden and our dogs got
Into an altercation last night leading one of our dogs to have some pretty extensive bite marks. We took him to tri county animal hospital that night for an emergency visit. They gave an injection to get him through until we could see our normal vet. Called Teegarden the next morning, and they said they can’t get him in. I said even though he went to the emergency hospital and has open wounds? They said no and call around. I got ahold of Washington Vet and they were able to squeeze us in for a same day appointment. They aren’t even our vet and they were able to see my dog and get him the care he needed! Dr. Waggoner was so kind and knowledgeable! She took her time with my dog and addressed all my concerns and was not worried about upselling or just charging me for everything. She gave me the options and said any are good. They just gained 3 new patients!

All I can say is THANK YOU to Washington Vet!

We got our kitty, Fallon, from a rescue in Bloomington IL. Naturally, that is where we had our first vet experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best. The Dr. was not personable and complained about Fallon’s “awful behavior” while he was getting his nails trimmed. That vet clinic also told us that we need to “just have Fallon declawed”, even though that was against what we wanted for our kitty. Fallon is a sweet and gentle cat, who was most likely just stressed being in an unfamiliar environment.

Today, we took him to Washington Clinic. We were nervous about how it would go. However, we had absolutely nothing to worry about. We weren’t sure about what it meant for a Vet to be a “Cat Friendly Practice”, but the staff demonstrated this to us. The tech who initially brought us back was kind with us, and with Fallon. She was extremely knowledgeable when giving us information about Fallon, and even gave us multiple hand outs and advice regarding a new kitten that we are adopting soon! Then, we met Dr. Waggoner, who might have been the sweetest person I’ve ever met to date!! She was nothing but AMAZING with handling Fallon. Fallon stayed calm the entire visit. He didn’t run, bite, scratch, or even meow. His body language was very calm, and I know it is thanks to the gentleness and expertise of Dr. Waggoner and her staff. We cannot thank them enough, as my fiancé and I could not be more thankful and impressed with this vet. I know that Fallon appreciated it too. 🤍

Called just for questions on a service and the woman that answered was very rude and snarky. I’m glad we have the option to feel a place out via phone call BEFORE going. If they treat us humans that way, I don’t want to know how they’d treat my animals. Drs might be amazing, but front staff matters too!
