Great guys running the shelter. They do an excellent job with the resources available. They need food donated and treats. Always a plus. Anyone wanting to adopt a dawg should give this place a chance.

We had a serious hit and run on a homeless cat. The Animal Services sent someone from home, on his day off to help contain the animal and transport.
For the people complaining: Are you aware you this is a no kill shelter? This is why they do not have room for animals, regardless of the condition or circumstances of the animal.
Instead of complaining, try donating anything you can from money to food or blankets. Better yet, go adopt an animal that is ready for a mom or dad.

I'm disabled & can't drive to the shelter, but my experience with Buddy, one of the animal services officers, has been great. I've had a problem with people abandoning cats near my house at night for years. Many are terrified & won't let me get near them. Buddy brings out his safe cat trap so I can catch the cats & spend some time with them in the house before he picks them up. This way, I feel the cats have a better chance of being adopted, and I can also pass on anything I've learned about the cats' personalities and physical condition. I've had experience with Animal Service/Control agencies in other states, and Ware County is far superior to any of them in a number of ways. We are most fortunate!

Refuses to treat a sick kitten simply because they don’t know what to do with cats. Disgusting establishment if I could give negative stars I would. If you’re refusing animals that need help you don’t need to be operating a business like this. Again absolutely disgusting and I hope this place gets investigated.

The people here are very nice and the facility is well kept and surprisingly clean to be an animal shelter. There is a wide variety of dogs and cats and they seem to be taken car of well. This shelter is very pit-bull heavy, nothing wrong with the breed but just be advised if you go looking for a black lab lol, although there was one of those when I went. The downside to the facility was how small it is.

We recently moved to this area and our German Shepard got lost. She was gone a month and one day. We were devastated and worried. She was found and brought to Ware County Animal Services. We are so very grateful that the staff at WC Animal Services were kind to her. They didn’t just hand her over but verified that were actually her family. “Thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough to express our gratitude to the staff. They not only helped take care of her but also helped ensure we don’t get separated from her again.
