While I cannot review their grooming quality itself, I can share my experience regarding a meet & greet. My pup is a good boy, but does not like for his nails to be trimmed and is reactive to the nail trimmer (which I informed the groomers of). The owner was still receptive, understanding, and willing to perform a fit assessment. During our meet and greet, the mother assessed my dog, was very sweet to him, and provided him treats. She offered to have her son trial the nail trimmer on my dog to assess his tolerance. Brandon did a great job of handling my dog, keeping my dog calm, and was even able to hold my dogs paws and demonstrate to me where the nail quick is on my dog for educational purposes so I can assess the nails myself. Everything was going smooth and it appeared that my dog was going to successfully pass the meet & greet, until my dog became reactive when Brandon went to use the nail drill on my dogs nail. My dog reacted poorly and went to bite his hand without warning. I was shocked and I think Brandon was too. In a situation like this, how people react and respond is everything. Brandon was so professional in his response. He, understandably, told me that he would not be able to accept my dog as a client, and explained that my dog did not give a warning sign, which indicates he is too reactive for safe handling in regards to his nails being trimmed. This facility does not use muzzles which is indicated on their website. I, obviously, apologized on behalf of my dog and completely understand my dog not being accepted as a client. The mother and son gave me some good advice on ways to manage my dogs nail trimming aversion and even some recommendations on how to improve my dogs dry skin. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a dog groomer! Do a meet and greet and see if it works out. The fact that they go as far as trialing a nail trimmer before accepting a dog, in my opinion, is so smart and demonstrates their focus on safety! If they don't accept your dog, its nothing personal... they just want to ensure their safety and your pups! Thanks for taking the time to assess my dog and responding so professionally!

We have been with them for about 20ish years. Kristi has taken care of all our dogs some their entire lives. She and Brandon are like family. Will always be their customer

I usually don’t waste time with negativity, but I’m making an exception because it’s warranted. We used this place for a few years. Once our dog came back with “kennel cough” but we remained customers. Then, as our dog aged, he was afflicted with an unrelated issue that resulted in a loss of hair, so we did not need grooming until now, after the condition stabilized and his hair grew back. We called to make an appointment and they were rude as if they were doing us a favor about scheduling because the appointment they mentioned was too far out and we needed to look elsewhere. They took offense that we would dare suggest going elsewhere, and actually said, “respectfully, we don’t have any interest” in accommodating us because we hadn’t been in for several months. Oh - and we tip VERY generously. With commensurate respect…that’s no way to treat a customer (respectfully, of course). They talk a good game but sadly, in their arrogance, actions belie their initial demeanor.

Kristie and Brandon were amazing with our girl. Another groomer had made it, where she was terrified to get her nails trimmed. Brandon was so calm and knowledgeable about getting it done. They renewed my faith in dog groomers. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Also, they didn't judge her on her breed. That was huge, also. I'd recommend them to anyone, who wants a not good, but amazing groomer. Thank you again!

I am very happy to find this locally owned, independent, mom and son shop. Appreciated the initial meet and greet to make sure my doggies and the shop owner/operators are comfortable with each other.

Clean, homey, and fairly priced grooming. My furbabies got to make new friends while having their spa day, too. I'm planning on bringing my dogs in when I'm in town. Also, they do walk-in nails before 2pm.

The people who run this shop will lie to save their hides. Saying that the appointment they afforded would not work and that we would need to take our dog elsewhere isn't "RUDE" as they say. It's the prerogative of a customer who needs a service that a business cannot provide to use a different provider of that service. They also contend that we missed appointments which is an absolute fabrication - for the time we used this shop, we never missed an appointment or were even late. TOTAL crock.

The problem is that people these days don't like to accept accountability for the issues they create in the business they run, and then turn around and try to throw it back onto customers whom they marginalize. MORE REASON NOT TO PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. Not enough to accept responsibility and be accountable for how they treat others, they'll lie in order to avoid it.

Patronize at your own risk.

I took my dog Winnie in to get her nails trimmed and was so impressed with how friendly and efficient everyone there was. They take walk ins and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Brandon helped us and he was so kind and gentle to Winnie. It’s a family owned/run business. I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses ESPECIALLY when they are owned and run by said family. So if you want your pets bathing experience to be enjoyable and trust you are leaving them in gentle hands, I 100% recommend this place! I will be taking her back every 4-6 weeks, as recommended!!
