It’s a terrible process to deal with our beloved pets getting sick. They love us unconditionally and all of our love in return can’t tell us what ails them. It’s hard to see them suffer, deal with the cost & even diagnose as a professional.
As a quick aside: GET PET INSURANCE!! Having coverage has save me almost $50,000 through the last 4 years at the cool price of $70/month!
My sweet pup has IMHA which almost took his life 2 years ago and it was thanks to Dr Timian and her amazing team that he’s still here and (usually) thriving. I would give them 10 stars if I could! They’re compassionate, thorough and invested in the lives of their patients & families. We’ve had many issues since his original diagnosis and VRCC has had the resources to get him healthy. This is the place you want to be when your pets care gets serious!

We recently took our two little dogs to our mountain town vet to have their teeth cleaned and have a few dental extractions. Our girl took everything like a champ. However, in hindsight, we see our boy who was muzzled and given extra sedation after being labeled "a bad boy" by the vet, received a more invasive treatment and received only half the pain prescription our girl did, despite both being in the same dosing weight class. The night after the dental cleaning, as his pain meds wore off after he refused his latest dose, his pain was palpable and very obvious. He began struggling to breathe, rapidly breathing, wheezing, and his heart was racing. We rushed him down the hill into town to VRCC. They advised he was in critical condition and they needed $900 to proceed. We proceeded. At 2am on Friday morning, VRCC had a vet and a cardiologist on staff to review his situation. They determined acute heart stress (concerning with his murmur) and bronchitis/pneumonia. They admitted him and he stayed under their incredibly compassionate care for 4 days and has made a near complete recovery. (He still needs a little oxygen, but we live at 8800 above sea level, so it's to be expected.) Dr Raj and our tech Alisha (sp?) were fantastic and provided multiple updates on his condition each day he was there and never once referred to him as a "bad boy". In fact, they both seemed to really enjoy taking care of our sweet boy and we were impressed with the care and attention we received from ALL the staff, including multiple folks at the front desk. We were impressed enough, we inquired as to whether they provide general veterinary care, but unfortunately, not at present. Good job VRCC in finding and retaining such great staff! I spoke with our neighbor the following day and he advised he too had used VRCC and was pleased with their treatment of his Yorkie when he had acute pancreatitis.

Admittedly, this is a place for folks who have the money and are willing to spend it on their fur babies or for folks willing to get the money needed to save their fur babies life when possible.

As a side note, if you hear of any liquor store robberies in the coming weeks, it wasn't me. I was at my Mom's surrounded by 3 independent witnesses. And I have a kidney for sale on the dark web, if anyone's interested, hit me up. I may lose an organ, but I have my baby boy.

Thanks VRCC!

Our pup was bit by a rattlesnake and VRCC was the second Vet we went to that afternoon. Going forward there is no where else we'll go. Every person I spoke to was eager to help and was going above and beyond. They ensured we we're always on the same page as the Doctor and that every question was answered. Our poor dog had to stay two nights and VRCC called probably 3-4 every 24 hours to give us an update on her condition. They stressed they are 24/7 so if we wake up in the middle of the night stressing about our furbaby, to call them at anytime for an update. Once Cookie was discharged from VRCC they highly recommended a particular post care treatment. A few days later they called again to check on Cookie and even contacted the other Vet to compare notes to ensure Cookie received the best treatment... Without us asking them to! Who does that

I'll recommend VRCC to any other Animal parents in need and God forbid we need an animal hospital again, without hesitation we'll come back here. Cookie is doing MUCH better and I can't thank them enough.

Thank goodness for VRCC. The other night, at 2.30am in the snow storm that rolled through, we rushed our 15yr old dog, ODB, to them. The gal at the front desk was so reassuring and patient while we were emotional wrecks the Dr was amazing and encouraging (I'm sorry I don't remember names it was such a whirlwind) . They walked us through the hardest and most loving decision we ever had to make for ODB. We miss him so much but thank you thank you a million times over for being so amazing with us and with our forever baby boy.

Also, a few years ago you helped us with our other dog who suffered a dog bite and she was still pretty young but you took such good care of her.

We can't thank you enough for your professionalism and compassion and thank God you're 24hrs and take care credit. Our fur babies were worth every dime and I was grateful it wasn't as costly as I thought an emergency clinic would be.

Our heart is broken over this loss but thank you again. I look forward to bringing him home as you also offer cremation and memorial options

I had 12 rescue dogs in my long life and that many needing to put to sleep at the end of their beautiful life. I had to take my little precious fur baby 2 weeks ago and my vet was off that day. Every other passing of my doggies has been with their head in my lap and they were given an injection of a tranquilizer, then an injection of pain killer. Then 5 minutes later they received the last shot. They were at peace, they were calm, eyes closed and no movement. I could sit and pet them and kiss them and tell them good bye.

I expected the same treatment from you and from Dr Patel. I was shocked. My 39 year old son went in with me and I told him what would happen.

Instead of what I said above we were take into a room with 2 chairs and a metal vet table which scared her to death. They came and took her into the back and put a catheter in her leg and what I believe to be a heart monitor. They gave her nothing to calm her down so she was crying and coming to me then to my son and she was taken over by anxiety so bad my son and I started crying. She was injected with her still standing up and her legs collapsed and she fell on the table and hit her shoulder and head. She then injected her with the 2nd and last shot. She jerked and that had never happened to any of my other dogs ever. Her eyes didn't close. What a horrible ending for the sweetest little dog who never hurt anyone, slept with me, I fed her and took care of her. I am retired and she was my soul and heart and she died with no dignity or love. I am lost without her and then to see her go thru this. I cry off and on during day. I am 77 and she was my baby girl.

We have an invoice showing that we paid in full, but the billing department just threatened us with collections, four months after our dog had to be euthanized here. No preamble -- just a voicemail out of the blue, first time we've heard from them since picking up her ashes 4 months ago, saying we owe them and this is the final warning before they send us to collections. Awful.

In June, we rushed in our sweet old dog who was rasping and struggling to breathe around midnight. It quickly became clear that she would need to be euthanized, and we were devastated. The doctor was compassionate and sedated her, then assured us she wasn't in any pain, and that we could take whatever time we needed to say goodbye. But it was still traumatic to lose our sweet old friend this way, especially so suddenly.

Their billing folks, on the other hand… When we had arrived, we paid $900 by credit card before being seen, and then the remaining balance of $164.88 when we left that very same night. They immediately emailed us an invoice that shows our total balance of $1,064.88 to be FULLY PAID. But now over four months later, we've received a voicemail telling us we're overdue and that this is the last warning before they send it to collections. And this was the very first call they made to us -- just straight to threats, when we did nothing wrong. Such an awful way to be dragged back to the grief of losing a pet.

To VRCC: You run a veterinary ER. You know a lot people are going to have to say goodbye to their animals under your care. Train your billing staff to have some compassion. Callous threats are so far out of line for the kind of business you run. The people who trust you with their four-legged family members deserve empathy from your employees.

My dog had a soft tissue sarcoma that needed to be removed from her shoulder. Setting up an appointment was easy, there were appointments readily available so did consultation AND surgery within a week, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Graville was extremely informative during my consultation and made me feel confident we were choosing the best path. The entire staff was extremely kind and helpful and made me feel like my dog was under the best care possible. Thank you VRCC!
