My lovely wife and I were out in the yard trimming and cutting around and when I went to get a wheel barrel, I found an injured red shouldered hawk that had a broken wing and could not fly. We were able to catch him and place it inside a pet carrier. Took it to the Conservancy animal hospital and they gladly took it in for medical attention...very nice and professional staff. We highly recommend them for advice when we encounter injured wildlife. A great organization ?

I have been volunteering for von Arx for a few years. They are the most caring, kind and hardworking group of people!! It is a privilege to be a part of this organization. I am grateful for the time I am able to spend at von Arx Wildlife Hospital!

I reached out to von Arx Wildlife Hospital after finding a young distressed warbler. Although I received their voicemail and chose not to leave a message, they contacted me shortly after seeing a missed call from my number. I had already discovered the little guy was just stunned from flying into a glass window and I had returned him to the area where I found him. For them to contact me meant a lot. I only had a short interaction with them, but it is obvious that they care deeply about animals. I would not hesitate to contact them again and would definitely recommend them.

Although I'm sure they do amazing work with the rescued animals, as someone who has worked in rescue for 20 years, there should be a way for those who want to know the outcome to call in or in some way know the outcome. It's heartbreaking to find and drop off an injured animal but understandable that one would want to know
If the animal was able to be rehabilitated. Consider allowing a Call 24 hours after drop off. Every wildlife rehab I have worked with has a way to get an update.

This place is amazing. Volunteers that help local wildlife around the clock. Every day of the year, they attend to wildlife that is injured. Please support this center so they can continue to do this important work. We brought an injured screech owl on a Sunday morning, and two weeks later, they brought it back to the place it was found. Beyond happy.

Was totally impressed with the facility and staff. I was just passed their closing hours, but after calling ahead, they waited for me to bring in a hurt woodpecker. Highly recommend this nonprofit organization.

Highest marks for this place! They are there day and night, and if you come across an injured bird, turtle or whatever, you just carry it in and they will do their best to save it. Great people doing an excellent job of protecting wildlife. We delivered an ailing seagull a few days ago, and we hope he's already back out there catching fish.
