This is utterly misleading -- this is just an open air bandstand in the park. The giant eyeball in the pic is not at this location -- it is several blocks away, at an area called Stone Street Gardens.

The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau does not have a presence here. Maybe the DCVB takes credit for the bandstand, I don't know. But this entry is misleading visitors into thinking there is a visitor center here. There is not!

NOTE: this is the corporate office, the main center is at the Old Red Courthouse 100 S Houston St. Dallas, TX 75202 Nice, knowledgeable people and very helpful. I had one day free and dropped in and asked, what should I do. They took the time to go over my options, give me materials and even tell me about a great electric tuck tuck service (e frogs - you text the where you are where you are going and they pick you up no charge, just tips)

First of all, you can't even really visit the eye most of the time. The surrounding area smells like urine, and the restaurants near by are very pricey for the rancid filthy mess you have to go through to get to them. You 100 percent have tto use valet or else walk 6 blocks through human urine and feices, through and around street obstacles and construction.

Dallas is the most visitor UNfriendly city I have ever encountered. It’s a beautiful place with tons of history and great food, but the visitor centers are not very helpful.
