This was my first time visiting Vintage Barbers in Vidalia. I needed a haircut and beard trim before my daughter's wedding, and Bess did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend.

This was my forth visit to this establishment. I had talked to the owner personally after my first 2 visits about how there's nothing vintage about it and the haircut was definitely not worth the cost. I tried for a 3rd time the results were great, absolutely no complaints. I just recently went there with a beard of over 1 1/2 years thats been trimmed 3 times there. The owner was there, after he left all the employees talked down about him and what not I left the establishment and did some shopping and I got weird looks. Not sure what was going on until I got home. When I got home looked at myself in the mirror i looked like a dog with mange. Ended up having to shave everything off and start from scratch. Very disappointing considering the price. The clients there treat this as a job. They don't care about quality. Really wish I had taken before and after pictures. Just embarrassing.

My son and I visited here for the first time today to get our hair cut. These ladies were awesome. Very friendly, professional and social. I was unsure of what I wanted done with my hair since my wife has been buzzing it down for years at home, but I wanted something new and different. Marie was my barber and she did a phenomenal job, couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend Vintage Barbers if you are looking for a haircut/shave in the Toombs County area.

The atmosphere of the environment was not that of a vintage barber shop. The TV was playing chick flicks however I will say the chairs were awesome and comfortable and the girls were nice. It was a good shape up but not a great one. I left with hair still all over my face and neck, it seemed a little over priced for the quality that was given. After getting home and cleaned up it did seem a little uneven with some longer strands sticking out. I would recommend Rural Roots right around the corner. They were very affordable and did a great job.

I suppose the name “Vintage Barbers” could conjure up many different images, depending on who is doing the imagining. Being an older man whose first childhood haircut occurred in the 1960s, I was half expecting hot towels, straight razors, being honed on leather strops… You get the idea.

What I found was a large, bright interior with high ceilings and plenty of space in the waiting area. An attractive, modern establishment with top 40 music being played and the TV set on something other than sports.

I shave my head with a straight razor, but when it comes to my beard, I always look to a professional to shape it, I just can never seem to get it right when I try it myself. I was a little taken aback when I saw that both of the barbers working were women, I had no real reason for the misogyny, my barbers has simply always been men.

Within five minutes after Marie Carter began working on my beard, the lack of previous attention from me left it looking a bit like something the Unabomber would sport, and my preference for a male barber was relegated to the dustbin of history.

As I looked around at the previous customers who were returning to get their hair trimmed and their beard shaped, it is clear that these ladies really knew their stuff. I’m not usually the type to buy product at a barber shop, but I certainly did this time .

I now have my third appointment set up. Can I recommend Vintage Barbers? You bet.
