I’m really happy to have found a great and affordable vet clinic. After having gone to a few other local vets and feeling like they were just trying to nickel and dime me, Veterinary medical center of Folsom was such a breath of fresh air. I took in my cat for a neuter, it was my first time having a pet undergo surgery. Their prices were the most affordable in the area and I found the vet (Dr Gill) to be very competent and compassionate. He instantly made me feel at ease about the procedure. They kept me updated throughout the day and kept my mind at ease. Surgery went flawlessly and my pet was back to normal in no time. So thankful to VMC Folsom team for their help.

I’ve been taking my pets to Veterinary medical center of Folsom for the last 6 years. They have consistently been providing excellent care to my pets. My dog actually gets excited when I take him there , which says a lot about how nicely they treat him. I’ve always been seen promptly, even when I had an emergency with my dog and just walked in , they accommodated me right away. The vets (Dr Anderson and Dr Gill) have always been very clear and concise with their diagnoses and treatment plans. I value their honesty and compassion. The support staff is also very competent and compassionate.

I had such a good experience with this vet and thank the staff and Dr Anderson for all of their kindness and care. I was always able to get an appt quickly, staff was helpful, and the Dr seems to truly care about the pet. Unfortunately my little old man passed due to preexisting health conditions but I felt Dr Anderson really tried to explore our options. She has a very good bedside manner and was honest and realistic about his prognosis. I know pet people will focus on the pet and overlook the people but here I felt like both myself and Teddy were well taken care of. Thank you for all of your kindness and care to me and Teddy during his last days. You made my heartbreaking situation just a little more bearable.

So happy with the care my pets receive. The staff and doctors are so kind and caring, really feels like a family practice. Scheduling is easy which is hard to find these days. They do their best to fit us in when needed. They offer quality care at a reasonable price. The doctors are patient with my questions and my pets. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else, I know they are in good hands.

My senior cat was sneezing and not eating normally so I brought her to Dr. Gill last week. The staff and veterinarians communicated well and didn't pressure me into treatments I couldn't afford. DR. Gill recommended I take my cat to get further testing at a larger facility. Sadly none of the emergency vets in the area would take her for the special tests until the following week. So I brought her back to the Veterinary Medical Center, who were accommodating with a next day appointment. The vet spent her time to provide a detailed explanation of my treatment options when my cat wasn't recovering. The staff are easy to speak with and provided me with a little momento of my cat when I couldn't afford to pay for a memorial pawprint. I am glad that I took my cat here.

Best vet I have ever been to. They treated my Mocha with so much compassion and care. Dr Netherwood was amazing, the pricing was reasonable, better than most vets. The front desk and bedside manner is impeccable and the assistants were very caring toward my dog during her pyometra surgery.

I had not been confident with the vet I had been going to who kept reiterating there was a high chance she might die, but the staff at Folsom Veterinary Medical Center really made all the difference and saved my Mocha's life.

I can't say enough about how I have been treated by this office and vet! I have a 17 year old, 6 lb shorthair Chihuahua that would never let me brush his teeth. I honestly thought he would pass away before I'd have to deal with his rotting teeth. When he was young I put him under for teeth cleaning, but as he got older and after seizures, I tried the holistic approach where they wrapped him up and scraped teeth clean. (that resulted in a neck injury and him turning blue in the hands of the dental hygienist).

Recently he was in a great deal of pain and I knew I had to do something. Most vets said it was not recommended to put him under due to his history of seizures and heart murmur. I saw a review that gave me hope that this office could help me. Dr. Gil was honest, straight forward, and let me know he was willing to try....but of course the outcome might mean he doesn't make it through surgery. His quality of life was greatly affected and I knew that if he passed away in surgery it would be better than suffering his dental issue. 11 Teeth pulled. HE MADE IT! I couldn't be happier! As well, I didn't get the feeling, like I have in so many other Vet's offices, that they try to take advantage financially. The charge was reasonable and its not like they try to get you to do more tests or get unnecessary prescriptions, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Gil! His bedside manner is not super warm and fuzzy but that is okay. I want serious when dealing with my dog (family). He listens carefully, he's calm, and professional. Also, super convenient hours! Who else stays open as late as he does! Very hard worker and clearly dedicated. Thank you Dr. Gil!
