This place is the worse possible experience you could subject your pet to. They charge exorbitant fees and deliver nothing. They put my pet through inhumane treatment saying they were following protocol. They have vets that are so cold and they lie about diagnoses so they can take you for as much money as they can squeeze out of you. The comfort of your pet is the last thing on their mind.
When I found out what they were doing behind the scenes to my pet I swore I would never subject my animal to their masochistic behavior
again. If your pet isn’t suffering when you bring them there they will be when you leave with them.

Our little Bella rolled her ankle at 10 o’clock at night! She was yelping so bad and holding her paw up. We knew we had to take her in right away. I was worried that it was broken. I read reviews on other emergency vets and was terrified. We took Bella here based off of reviews and location. We soon realized that this is where we took our Chico over a year ago to be put down. They offered a good price for that procedure, a paw print keepsake and personalized box for the ashes. They were amazing then and tonight was no different. Dr. Forsberg was fantastic. She’s knowledgeable, caring and explains everything very clearly. Turns out it’s just a sprain. Monica explained the bill clearly, it was reasonable and she was very personable. We didn’t feel pressured to add on anything extra. We are leaving with peace of mind and a plan. Thank you for being there for us through the last day for our Chico and for giving us great news for our baby Bella. We really appreciate you all. Thanks again.

Our Lab came in with facial swelling after camping. We thought it was a bee sting but the swelling persisted for 3 weeks. We went into the office 4-5 times. Prednisone would help swelling but when meds stopped swelling came back. Doctors were stumped and had no answers until a smart one referred us to Advanced Vet Specialists in Tustin. Our dog had a CT scan the next day which revealed an abcess. He had surgery the day after and stayed overnight. His face sliced open with several stitches and a drain! Culture revealed STAPH. Our dog could’ve died!! One of out last visits at Yorba, vet said oh leave it wait and watch. Next day swelling traveled up to our dog’s eye. That eve, we were finally referred to AVS Tustin (they are wonderful and saved our dog’s life). $7500 later, We are still dealing with constant meds and have to empty his drain daily.. horrible experience!! My dog will never go to Yorba again! UPDATE: 3 weeks later after surgery and a complaint with the Veternary Medical Board, Yorba Regional is calling asking how our dog is doing..Seriously?! No thank you.

We look a cat here. They way overcharged us. 1500 for the same care we got for 400. I now go to a place in corona. 1/3 the price and they care. I now have a prescription for kidney food for my cat and they won't sell to us even with a prescription. They want to rip us off in a time of need to give some cat food. Place is a ripoff. Go to corona. I won't name the place so they can't say it's a competitor.
My wife works for a large animal vet. No cats
The cost of meds at this place are marked up 900%

A sincere thank you to the entire staff for your loving care of Dexter in the last weeks of his life. Dexter spent many weeks in Luxury Boarding and was always treated with love and care over the many years. He had a long life of 13.8 years thanks to the good care.
Thank you to Dr Tatyama for your skill and years of care - thank you to the staff at the boarding kennel for giving him so much love and attention during his stays (you know who you are) and a special thank you to Dr. Geiger who supported me through his last days. RIP Dexter

On August 24th my family and I lost our beloved Xena, a 4 year old French Bulldog. We took her to the Yorba Regional VCA due to major health issues that went misdiagnosed as a GI infection on 6 different occasions when in reality she was dying of a large tumor between her intestines and her colon that had spread throughout her body. Our dog suffered and was in pain for 2 months while the VCA doctors neglected to try and figure out what was actually wrong with my Xena girl. We spent thousands of dollars on doctor visits, new foods, antibiotics, probiotics, and much more when what she really needed were x-rays and an ultrasound. Each visit my family and I watched that hospital rush dogs, cats, and other animals in and out the doors as fast as possible instead of ensuring each animal including ours was given the proper care. As we realized that this hospital was not properly caring for our dog we took her to another animal medical center where she was referred to BluePearl, where she was rushed into emergency surgery to remove the tumor and was given the proper care she deserved. We then took her home and cared for her until we knew she had to leave us because she was in too much pain. I can't help but think that if she had been given the proper care in the beginning, we might have had a little more time with Xena. PLEASE, if you took the time to read this post... make sure that your pet is receiving the best care possible, as these animals really are your best friend and it hurts tremendously losing them

Last week my family made the hard decision to euthanize our family dog after almost having her for 15 years. It was the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make and one that doesn’t come lightly. Unfortunately, my parents were out of town and so that left me and my brother with the responsibility of having to do it all on our own. When we brought our dog in, immediately the staff was incredibly empathetic and walked us through every little detail of the process with such patience and made us feel so comfortable, knowing we were making the right call.

The staff gave us as much time as we wanted in our final moments with our sweet girl, never rushing to give the room up to another patient. We had all the time in the world and it felt evident. When we decided we were ready, Dr. Tateyama came in and asked if we had ever been present when putting a pet down, which we had not before. He calmed us and told us everything that could happen and that every reaction was completely natural and normal, reassuring us that he would be present every step of the way. When she passed peacefully, the staff asked if we wanted her to be taken or if we wanted to have more time. Again, never prying and always leading with patience and compassion.

This morning, my family opened a card that was from Dr. Tateyama, which he had hand-written and mailed to our home, stating his deepest condolences with losing a family pet and reiterating that our decision was hard, but one made out of love.

My family and I are blown away with the incredible care and love from the staff of this hospital and we would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to be taken care of, as well as their pet. I promise you are in good hands here.

I just want to thank the staff on behalf of my entire family for the care, compassion, and love shown to us throughout the entire process. You are all exceptional and we are so immensely grateful.
