Dr. Huppe and the staff are terrific! They do such a great job with my 13 1/2 yr old Labrador. He really enjoys the aqua therapy, and the accupuncture seems to really help him feel better, be more mobile etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

My dog had surgery which required several weeks of crate rest afterwards. It was recommended by his surgeon that he do some water resistance rehabilitation to aid in his recovery after surgery as well. We found Up & Running just by Google searching water therapy.

When initially speaking with Dr. Huppe, she recommended that we attend sessions a few times a week, however, since we live almost an hour and a half away, I let her know that unfortunately we would not be able to come that often. So, she put together an integrated therapy schedule for us, which allowed him to attend water therapy at their location once a week, and she creates a booklet of at home therapy exercises that we can do with him daily in between sessions, which has been working out very well.

When we came for our first session, my dog was initially nervous and apprehensive to go in the building without me (COVID restrictions)… Now he must enjoy himself so much in there, he gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot, and when they come out to get him, he’s just like “bye mom!” and makes a beeline for the door.

All of the staff members that we’ve worked with have been great, and I think his sessions are really benefiting him, as we’ve noticed building back some of the musculature that he’s lost during his crate rest. We’ve also noticed that he seems much more confident using the leg he had surgery on, as well as increased strength in that limb as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Up & Running to anybody looking for post-surgical rehab or physical therapy for any other ailments. Dr. Huppe and staff seem very knowledgeable on rehabilitation directed towards specific issues, and I feel very confident that coming here and following their directions has really helped during the post-surgical recovery period.
