I love how the grooming experience only takes a little over an hour, while other places take 3 hours. It is unfortunate that their prices increased because it is kinda pricey now. The picture of my dog was taken after his groom.

They cut my little 5 pound dog and didn’t even tell me! I had to take her to the vet! It was a v cut from the tip of the Scissors! When I called Top dog, I had to leave a message. I explained what happened, and the owner called back to ask if I wanted another appointment in 5 weeks! Never said anything about my message! She ignored it. She wouldn’t even bring it up. I would never go there again.

We love this place. The price is worth the service in large part b/c Diane is so patient and great with our persnickety poodles. Actually, the whole team is super helpful and the owner is nice, too. They're busy...I chalk it up to being good at what they do, though.

Not worth the price. Dropped my 12 lb dog off here for the first time today. I decided to take my dog here because the reviews seemed good. When I dropped my dog off, the receptionist asked if we wanted the groom that we originally get. I told her it was our first time and she had us fill out paperwork. The groomer came out to quickly evaluate our pup I asked her how much she would cost to which they replied $50 and our dog should take up to an hour. I said it was okay since we were already there and didn't want to create any issues. After an hour, they sent us a message saying that our pup would be ready to be picked up in 20 minutes, calling our female dog a he. When we got to Top Dog they informed my boyfriend that our dog was not ready and would be ready in another 20 minutes and charged him $55. We waited in the car for the remaining amount of time until they sent us another message saying "He's ready. So sorry." We went in to pick her up and she was still a little wet but mostly dry. The groomer still had her on the table and our dog was so excited to see us that she tried to jump off the table with the noose around her neck... Luckily the groomer stopped her. When our dog was released to us, the receptionist and groomer raved about how good "he" was but the groomer quickly corrected herself saying "I mean she". My boyfriend and I got in the car and looked over our pup to ensure there were no kniks, thankfully there were not any. I was disappointed with her butt hairs still being long though.

Ultimately, the cons of this grommer is that the service at this groomer did not seem personal, the groom was pricet for the size of our dog and type of groom she received and they misinformed us on the pickup time.
The pros of this groomer is that they did not knik my dog and it was easy pickup and dropoff.

Top Dog Grooming in Glen Ellyn is the only place I will bring my dog for grooming. We have been using Kim, the owner, for many years. Her work is meticulous, her space is spotless and well-kept, and her warmth and care towards our dogs has been second-to-none.

My dogs are not the easiest to work with. Baths and nails can be a challenge. Top Dog did great and the boys loved it. More importantly my Wife loved how they boys looked and smelled when they got home.
