I moved to Lake Forest about 2 years ago and was looking for a great groomer closer to home who was patient with high anxiety dogs. A groomer down the street from me wouldn’t even meet my dogs and denied me service over the phone.
I have a toy poodle and a bernadoodle, and my bernadoodle has major separation anxiety. I was transparent with my dog’s behavior over the phone when speaking with Bill and he was very patient and understanding and expressed they are experienced with dog’s like mine and assured me my bernadoodle wouldn’t be crated as they’re aware this would enhance his anxiety. I have been using The Spa for Dogs for over a year now and they have done a wonderful job with both my dogs haircuts every time. They want to make sure you are satisfied with the look of your pet and if you would like anything tweaked with the cut they are more than happy to fix or adjust as needed. They are warm and welcoming on the phone and every time I drop off and pick up. I highly recommend them.

I brought my 9mo old mini bernedoodle in for the first time and saw Tanya. She took so much time with Izzy because she was really scared of the blow dryer. She also did an unbelievable job!! So happy! Will definitely be back to see you Tanya! Thank you!!

We have been going here for years. I am always happy with the way they cut my golden doodle. He is always happy to go. The staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Spa for Dogs.

Owners and staff are incredibly rude and cut my dogs ear in 4 places and failed to tell me (I noticed when I got home). I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let them groom again, and my dog looked absolutely awful and was shaking of terror. Yet again, I noticed he was cut. He needed stitches. This has happened multiple times. I have had way more success at PetSmart. No joke. Do not take your dog here.

Horrible experience- groomer must have been on drugs when she cut my dog hair. I have a beautiful Maltese that came out all choppy & uneven. Worst part when I complained & sent pictures…she refused to give me my money back! Dog owners beware!!!

I took my martipoo 3times. First time they came back with paw's not shaved. Second time it came back without cleaned ears. I made mistake, I took them 3rd time. This time one of my dog came home with shaved tail hair. There's little matted instead comb through, they shaved them all. I feel so sorry to my dog. This will be my last visit. So people beware of it .
Two dogs only took 1h 15mints? They don't comb, they will shave hair.
