I was not familiar on how this Nursing home stuff worked for my Dad. But the front staff Dalia was very helpful. I was very anxious and nervous so i was calling the Director of Business Development, Valerie almost every minute and she was so helpful. I went here because my Dad was at Cedars and this place was recommended by one of his Doctors. I toured the facility and I was very pleased. Once he admitted which was for his post surgery, the rehab team worked their magic to get him strong and back home right away. Thank you Pico!

We've had such an amazing experience at The Rehab Center on Pico and I highly recommend it!

My father was transferred to this nursing facility from another facility because the other place (in Long Beach) was a nightmare. He was 3 weeks post stroke, was not able to move on his own, and had a feeding tube. When we arrived to The Rehab Center on Pico I was so relieved. At first glance I could tell that this was a safe and clean environment with attentive staff.

All staff members have been attentive, friendly, and show that they care each person in the facility. I go to visit my dad often and check in with all members that work directly with him. The case manager, social worker, nurses, and therapist give me updates (in-person and by phone) whenever I check in with them and are always available when I have a question about my father's care.

The establishment itself is secure and clean. I was pretty impressed by their health and safety measures for visitors. Visitors need a code to get into the building and must check in at the front desk upon arrival. When you walk into the building you can tell that it's clean and regularly maintained.

I know that this is a good place for a patient because my father is also having a good experience. He is so happy with the level of care that he is receiving and feels like he is getting motivation and support from all people on his care team.

This was my first time helping a loved one look for a nursing facility so it was a very stressful. Everyone at this facility has made this transition stress free, especially since I know my father is in good hands. The case manager has taken the time to walk me through different insurance, medi-cal, and medi-care options. The social worker has kept me to speed with my fathers progression and will be working with me on a transitional plan. The therapist have allowed me to shadow sessions so that I know where my father is in his physical progression.

If you are looking for a nursing facility for your loved one, I recommend you bring them here!

If you are a first timer (like me) here are a few things I suggest:

1. Tour the facility to see if it's a good fit.
2. Speak to the Case Manager and Social Worker--get to know them and ask all the questions that you have. They are happy to answer any and all of your questions!
3. Get involved. I took a week off of work to get to know all of the folks that were working with my father and understand the facility schedule. Taking the time to meet everyone has made it easier to know who to go to with questions about my father's care.
4. Just ask. It can be a really stressful time navigating care for a loved one. I had so many questions. Everyone at this facility is happy to help and they always meet you with kindness and understanding.

I want to point out a few things about this Facility. First the aesthetics. The outside was fixed and looks great, clean, and bright. The Inside is currently And continually being fixed and so far my family friends that stayed there has been satisfied.

My family friends both went in for Therapy and one of them for IV. It was a short stay, about 20 days but in those 20 dYs, they provided aggressive rehab and my family friends were able to come home stronger. They didnt miss an IV and they were on time as well.

I was transferred to this nursing home from Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital and stayed here for a month for therapy and wound care. All of the staff were very nice to me. I came in with big wounds on my left foot after my amputation and now my wounds are completely healed. The physical therapists helped me so much and pushed me to my limit. Now Im going home tomorrow and I am very thankful for all the care they have provided me. I recommend this facility to anyone needing care!

My Dad is a patient at this facility and only been there barely 3 weeks my dad Heath has improved tremendously my dad couldn’t walk he up walking they make sure all his appointments and medication it correct and is taken the whole nurse and staff is completely professional and caring and awesome bedside Manners any questions I have about my dad that answers with love and concern and respect my and not only do they make sure my father gets the best Heath and rehabilitation they also notice me immediately of any changes to my father, they also schedule and transport my father to and from doctors appointments and notify me and makes arrangements for me to ride with my dad to and from appointments and I can’t thank and praise this women enough she is truly GOD SENT Rachel the case worker is an Angel because of her professionalism and quick reaction my dad is impressively is healing ❤️‍🩹 quite fast and I can leave this place after I visit my dad with a peace of mind knowing my dad is in the Best of care and all Honor and respect 🫡 goes to Rachel the Case Manager there she makes sure the patient get nothing but the best care!!!!!!

Thanks to Mario Oralana Activity Director, he enthusiastically provides patients many Opportunities for socializing or engaging in hobbies.
