This place was very well ran. It did not feel like a jail. I have been to one other facility 7 years ago and it was terrible. Recovery Village of Palm Beach was great! Personally, I chose it for the gym. It is available from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm as long as you are not in group meetings. Jimmy is awesome and plans the outdoor activities. Several projector large screen movies a month out back with popcorn machine, lots of sweet treats and nachos. Friday night dinners are steak and baked potatoes. The food was very good and well rotated. The head Chef Joe, was a blessing. Chef Adad is a trip and loves his job! The staff and nurses were very accommodating. The techs are all nice. I had one bad experience with an “elderly” tech. She wasn’t professional and seemed cranky at all times. She was only present maybe six times out of the three weeks I was there so it wasn’t a big deal. The people in charge are very approachable and helpful. My therapist was Julie. She is very sweet, very caring and helpful. There is a full time, full blown cleaning staff there seven days a week. I was treated with kindness and respect front the time of admission to the time of release. Marc, the CEO is often there and walks the halls and says hello and will shake your hand. Yes, there are patients there that cause a ruckus but that’s what happens at recoveries. I do believe I got closer to the core of my addiction here. If I would have stayed longer I may have had more answers. I do not plan on recovery again in my life but if I did have to go back due to a relapse, I would choose Recovery Village of Palm Beach again.

Overall my experience with RV was incredibly positive! If you WANT to get a good experience out of your treatment here, you absolutely can and will! Many come in with a negative mindset (clearly, we are detoxing from substances) or not even wishing to really get sober, which will absolutely cloud the experience for themselves. The only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that there seemed to be loose ends left lingering, missed communications (medical/nursing) and a lack of clear line of communication as to who was in charge of what. I asked A LOT of questions to different sources to figure certain things out and felt I was given the run around on a couple of occasions. There is a new site CEO, so hopefully he will be able to help rectify some of these communication issues. Any treatment center is going to have a lot of moving parts and constant rotation of clients, so I do appreciate that it is difficult to keep everyone in the loop at all times. If you’re not afraid to advocate for yourself and you really want to get sober, then I definitely would recommend The Recovery Village! SO many amazing staff members with huge hearts for what they do 🫶🏼

This review is pretainin' to my dining experience.

Chef Joe is an outstanding chef! The food he provides is always fresh and truly second to none.
I am on a special diet so some things I cannot eat. Joe makes it a point to go out of his way to make sure I am provided food that fits under the umbrella of things I can eat and I like them. I can't thank him enough.
Our times we eat are at 8am, 12pm and 445pm for dinner. You can expect those doors to the dining area to open at said times and not a minute late!

Thank you, Chef Joe for all you do!

If you want a more accurate picture of how bad this facility is read the yelp page, as I’m sure they pay someone to boost their google ratings with bs reviews (treatment centers are notorious for this that’s a full time job im a tech guy so I know). I believe some of the staff and therapists are well intentioned, but the upper management (aside from mark I think he tries), medical, and food providers are lazy and don’t care. The only that drives these people is money, I was actually told by a case manager when my insurance lapsed unknowingly that they’d discharge me on the spot if I didn’t then and there apply for a new policy that covers them. I’ve been ignored when it came to anything that was beneficial to me and not their pockets such as food stamps and my sublocade shot which they fumbled by taking until the last minute to do. Somehow I received these things in a week or 2 at other places but according to them it takes 2 months. The food is god awful a step above department of corrections food and no snacks or drinks. The Only rules that are enforced are go to groups so they get paid. They can’t even handle addicts they’re now taking on mental health patients too. FORGOT TO ADD THEIR “PHP and “IOP” are essentially the same as residential you can’t leave even to look for jobs so you’re screwed when you leave!! The list could go on.. I’m sure they’ll approach me about this mad like they have before anytime I have the balls to speak up but I don’t care. Patients need to know the true nature of this place.

Positives:
Friendly BHT’s , Supportive staff , Very clean, The food is above average, includes snacks, Weekend activities, including outside meetings, They can assist you with doctors appointments and their medical team is excellent.
Negatives:
The clinical staff is overworked and has many clients, The Case manager does little to know work if you’re trying to upright or find resources for your plans after treatment. Many clients with various personalities can be distracting.
The run down:
Because many clients have HMO it’s run like so many people With various needs that Go overlooked . You often feel like a number, I recommend if you have a PPO, finding a treatment center that accepts that insurance, recovery village needs much help and their professionalism,. And they are biting off more than they can chew.

I'm literally in an Uber heading to Recovery Village now. So far the staff have seriously patience, compassionate, understanding, and informative 👍!
I was reluctant at first. But now I'm feeling pretty optimistic. I'll report more as I journey through this.

Came here to get therapy and meds, was locked away in a mental ward with insane patients who I had to witness deficate, pick it up and throw it. Didnt receive therapy until almost a week even though I was aski my everyday and my medications were getting messed up everyday as well. Left the place with more trauma
