The entire team at Grand Lake Veterinary Hospital is the best we (my cats and I) have ever had. They are so good with my cats, including the strays I've brought it for their first exams. The doctors take the time to answer my questions and make good recommendations without ever trying to upsell me on needless products or vaccines.
Over the few decades I've owned cats and/or dogs in various cities and states, GLVH stands strong at #1!!

Dr. P was helpful, attentive, and kind. He answered all of my questions and was able to provide care to my reactive pup. Reception was friendly and welcoming. The vet tech who onboarded us was also very friendly. Great staff all around 🙂

This is hands down. The best vet clinic in the Bay area
That includes San Francisco Marin and the East Bay
I say this because every single employee has been exceptional starting with the front desk. The vet tecs our friendly and genuinely love the animals. The doctors take the time with you. They are super smart and good communicators + genuinely care for the animals.
I have had animals all my life and work in rescue. I've taken many animals to various vet clinics in the bay area with animals that were not my own.
I've gotten to know many veterinarians, most of which have been very good doctors and so many vet offices.
However, I've never gone to a vet office where every single thing is handled responsibly friendly professional. I have been going here for about 8 years. Even though I moved to Marin, I still keep them as my main veterinary clinic.

I had a minor concern for my dog, a large rash and hitching/scratching. The receptionist could not book an appointment when I visited the hospital, but she gave me advice and I was able to book an appointment the next day once they were done with their triage for the day. The doctor addressed both the current concern for my dog but also discussed his health in general and his current medications since he is an older dog with a heart murmur. The staff is attentive, proactive and kind.

My dog actually gets excited to see the vet techs here! That's how good they and the whole staff are. Grand Lake Vet has always made me feel like they care and will not rest till they have taken care of all my dogs issues and my concerns (and there have been a considerable amount in the past 4 years.) Barbie and I highly suggest them.

It was a smooth appointment. Well organized prior with lots of communication to help us prepare for our first appointment at this Veterniary hospital. We did not wait long and Dr. P came in and spent considerable time talking about our cat and options for feeding, medication, shots and all issues. It is much better than the feedback I get going Kaiser for myself. Highly recommend.

Cannot say enough great things about Grand Lake Vet- our sweet old lady dog doesn’t ~love~ the vet but she is so spoiled and taken care of by everyone at Grand Lake. They treat with such compassion and are quick to respond to any and all questions and concerns we have for our 13 year old pup.

Dr. Mavin is incredible and actually goes through your pet's risk factors before recommending things like vaccines and testing. Vets are pricey, but this has been the least expensive of the three vet clinics we've been to in the area. Staff is very friendly. All-in-all we've become very loyal customers here.
