Id like to start by saying had I known previously that my dog would be blamed and labeled as a “problem dog” because of the first hours he spent here and because he is a pitbull mix, I would have NEVER chose this place, how do you own a dog boarding but are claiming my dog is now a “problem” because you don’t want to deal with him, when he QUICKLY adjusted to you? Also had I known that a previous employee was arrested for animal neglect I would have never looked twice! Back in September of last year I began to look for boarding places for our dog Dunkin while we went on vacation for the first time since we had adopted him. I asked for places on Facebook and looked around trying to find the best one for him. Once I came across Barn on Baseline, we chose as a family that we thought this would be the best place for Dunkin since we had just adopted him a few months prior(when he was at the shelter he was extremely stressed and anxious, they’d had to keep him in the office with them during the days) and we thought that he would do better in rooms than kennels at this boarding place. I expressed when I filled out the application we wouldn’t know how he would react, as well as when we arrived that day. Once we arrived and dropped Dunkin off around 8am we thought things might work out. Fast forward to us being on our way to the airport at 7pm that night, 11 hours after we had dropped off our dog, I get a call that we have to come back immediately because Dunkin was apparently charging at the door and showing teeth, what we were told was happening all day. We were unsure why they would call us once they were closed that evening, after he had been there all day and nobody had said anything to us. So we had to turn around and drive an hour back to them, just for no one to be there when we arrived. We were already late to our flight and had to leave. Throughout the next couple days we received multiple messages explaining how they had moved Dunkin to a quieter place and he was doing way better, with ALL of the staff. Dunkin was there for 5 days in total after that with no issue, unless someone had lied to us about what was going on throughout the week while we were gone. Fast forward once again to January when we were planning another family vacation for my daughter’s birthday and we reached out again to see if we could board him at the same place. We were confirmed and put on the schedule while being told we had to get his distemper and bring him in for at least a day of daycare prior so that he could try to remember them. No issues with that on my end. When we went to confirm this week, communication got mixed up with my husband and them and it became a back and forth about a muzzle(my fiancé had suggested a soft one just in case they were worried) once this was brought up it wasn’t dropped even when I took over the communication and never mentioned one, they knew our dog didn’t need one when he was here last time so I am unsure why they kept mentioning it to us after I had emailed to check what all we needed from the vet and things prior. It was clear that they did not want to board Dunkin, but why wait after we already were on the books and vacation was booked? Now that my husband has posted a review they are going to comment under and say that we have been denied by multiple places in the area (I’d like the name of at least one, maybe we could contact them next time we need boarding) when they were the first we had even tried due to him being adopted and us not wanting to leave him somewhere, also said that my dog is the problem when he was just anxious and scared. I wouldn’t recommend bringing any of your animals here who you are worried are going to have anxiety or scared while you’re gone. I will list below the multiple screenshots of when we were on vacation the first time and they were telling us Dunkin was fine as well as a screenshot of a video they sent us while we were away. As well as the since deleted comment of them saying that my dog was a “problem” and denied at multiple facilities.

You say other places denied ypu are the ONLY PLACE my dog has been too and clealry you guys are not as professional as you claim to be. My dog has only been to your facility so idk where other facilities is coming from? When my dog was accepted so that does not make sense not to mention you guys have a WHOLE SHELTER with dogs and you trying to tell me my dog is bad. Here is a screen shot of when YOU said he was good na just needed love and affection ans now my dog is the problem ? I hope everyone sees your ignorant comments

Recently adopted a pup from the Barn, and it was a breeze! Everyone was super friendly, and “Harvey” but now named “Buddy”, is the bestest boy ever. I’m convinced he came potty trained lol. Such a great dog. Loves everyone and running around the big yard. Highly recommend Barn on Baseline!
