My daughter attended this academy for almost 3 months before i had to find a better center. I didn’t have any problems until about a few weeks after she started going

1. I noticed that she was wearing another child’s pullup. I made sure that she had enough so i was confused as to why she was wearing it. I contacted them through the app and they reassured that it wouldn’t happen again

2. The next week, i noticed she had a pull up that didn’t belong to her AGAIN. It was a 5t/6t when my child is in 3t. It was huge and i was sure that i provided enough pull ups for my child. I notified them and it didn’t happen again.

3. My child was being mistaken for another child. I dropped her off one morning and heard the teacher call her another student’s name. I corrected her. However, it happened again with another teacher when i dropped her off. I told them that she’s being mistaken for another student since i heard it for myself. Their excuse was that my child and the other student were enrolled in the same week. But i think it’s important and critical to know the children that’s under their care to avoid issues.

4. The school has a doorbell that doesn’t work! One cold morning, i was dropping my child off and was knocking on their door for someone to open it. Me, my child, and mother parent and their child, was waiting for almost 5 minutes. I walked around on the other side of the building and didn’t see anyone. I knocked on the windows then returned to the front door. The reached finally came to the door and she said that her and the students were in another room. I think they should have cameras or a ring camera, something that will make it easier.

5. One day i noticed my child had a scratch under her eye. I asked them what happened and the director told me that she would speak with the teacher to see what happened. She never got back to me about it. The next day, as i dropped her off i asked them what happened. I was asking questions and NO ONE had an answer as to what happened. They didn’t “see anything.” This was the last straw for me.

The school could be wayyy better. My child wasn’t even there 6 months before these issues came about. We ended up moving further away, however, if we didn’t move i would’ve had no choice but to find a better school.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the wonderful care my children receives at this daycare. The staff is incredibly attentive and nurturing, always ensuring that each child feels safe and happy. The facility is clean and well-maintained, providing a stimulating environment for learning and play. My children look forward to going every day and has made tremendous progress in their social and cognitive skills. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a reliable and loving place for their children.

My daughter is currently 4 and has been attending Academy of Lovejoy since she was 2yrs old. I cannot say enough good things about this school. I have seen so much growth in her since starting, from her speech to her writing to her identifying her colors, letters etc. The teachers are very hands on and they offer a great pre-k program.

I did not create this review until after my daughter left. First and foremost THE TEACHERS ARE AMAZING AND PATIENT. Ashanti the director is very rude and sarcastic. I felt uncomfortable every day that I left when she was present because of how she made me feel. She seemed like it was an issue for me to call and check on my baby after I left . They don’t give any updates of anything. I had to call Ashanti in order to contact the direct person caring for my child. Imagine having to convince someone over the phone to check on your child the room they keep the 2 year olds in looks like a closet and that’s probably why they won’t let you past the front door. Multiple times I would drop my baby off and Ashanti wouldn’t even allow me and my daughter to step inside, she pointed us straight outside through the gate. I’m very upset with our experience and I would NOT recommend this place to “younger looking moms”

1. I understand the rules and regulations but my 2 yo child was bitten for the first time EVER in your facility. So communication wouldn’t be such a bad thing if that can happen with “no phones” besides all I ask is that you actually use the Brightwheel app for more things other than “bring more diapers”

2. As a director you should understand each parent has different schedules. Regardless each person should feel welcomed upon arriving to your facility to leave their precious child under your supervision. The teachers are the only reason I stayed any longer past the day I called you and you would not check on my child after I dropped her off bawling her eyes out the day after she had been bitten like a snack by another child.

I highly recommend this school! They've been nothing but nice, communicative, and professional since the day I made the phone call to schedule a walk through. My grandson gets excited every time he gets to the red light and can see the school, and that let's me know they are doing something right.

Amazing staff and development skills at this Academy! Very patient with the kids, parents, and scheduling issues. I highly recommend for their Pre-K Program!

I absolutely love this preschool! The love and care they give my child is above and beyond. The teachers are so loving, caring and genuinely care about the kids that go there. The owner is very much involved and knows all the kids and parents by name which means a lot. My son has learned so much at The Academy of Lovejoy and I highly recommend this preschool facility!

This is such AN AMAZING DAYCARE!!!! I was so skeptical about sending my son to a new daycare but after speaking to the owner Mrs. Ashanti I knew he would be in good hands. The aspect that stood out to me most was her willingness to help me with finding my other family member childcare even though he would not be going to The Academy of Lovejoy. My son has progressed so much he went from not talking very much and in his beginning stages of potty training to being FULLY POTTY TRAINED, Talking incredibly more, and knowing his abc’s and numbers. The whole staff is amazing and really treat your kids like their own. They’re constantly doing fun parties for the kids and much more. Absolutely love this daycare and the staff.
