After my husband and I browsed the store and collected several items we intended to purchase, the man working the store refused to let us hold the items, claiming 'they will be up at the counter when you are ready to pay for them' and proceeded to take them from us. The insinuation of us stealing in a store that sells overpriced mass-marketed junk is genuinely laughable but reflective of the kind of people the owners are. Thanks for telling us loud and clear that we were not welcome there; we happily spent our money elsewhere. 😊

I saw a common thread about one employee and I did not purchase anything and did not see a woman working there when I went in the beginning of August. I did however love the variety of items in this shop. All Gelena shops are a bit claustrophobic but this one had more items than any other shop I went into. There were some tacky items that had touristy themes but overall I did like walking around in the AC and taking in all this shop had to offer. I really liked the selection of tiny pocket trinkets they had.

This was by far my favorite jewelry store in Galena. There were many options available in all sizes sorted very well and organized. Real sterling silver jewelry. There’s a variety of styles to choose from. The man at the register was very kind and friendly. They also have an upstairs with holiday decor all year long. Loved the place so much I came back to buy more rings.

This place has so many varieties of collectibles !! There’s vintage signs, various jewelry, toys, T-shirt’s, cool wall decor...so much stuff! Such a neat old building too being on a cool corner location. Worth a stop for sure!

I was so surprised by the treatment I received while at this shop, that it prompted me to leave a review. Now that I am reading them all, We all have the rude counter lady in common. She spoke badly to not only me but a few others while I was there. She then mistreated a fed ex delivery man who was just trying to make his delivery to her shop. I never made a purchase, even though I wanted to before all the verbal abuse. But at the end of the day I will not support a business that doesn't not value it's customers! If this woman is not the owner, the owner is a fool for keeping her employed there! Way to many shops on that strip that appreciate there customers to shop here!😡

The only reason they are getting one star is in order to leave a review in words I have to leave at least 1 star. I went into the store found a shirt that I liked and a bracelet was still shopping the man asked if I would like him to hold my items behind the counter While I finished shopping. So while I was finishing my shopping the rude older lady behind the counter sold my shirt to someone else. They did not have another one In my size. So then they decided to try to sell me other stuff instead Which in my opinion is being way too pushy. So my suggestion to anyone who shops there Don't give your items to them to Hold because they don't hold it.

The women who works here is rude. I've noticed other reviews same as I am. She accused my friend of trying to steal items. It wasn't true, the store clerk was critical of other stores. She didn't like that I was wearing a mask in the store, if you want to be safe don't shop in this store. The owners are losing money because of her. I talked to the person who works in the chamber of commerce, they will speak to the owners and tell them that they should not criticize other stores.
I wish I could give this store a negative star review.
