I live in an area where the two nearest pet stores are about an hour away, both big box stores. Over a month of me going to Petco setting my three aquariums up after 30 days of cycling my loss rate was a whopping 73%. I started looking for a smaller business to see if there are any around. An hour and 15 minutes away is Something Fishy so I thought, “why not?” I’m glad that I did. My loss rate is minimal still after a few months and the fishes were not the usual fish from the big box stores. I like how they will not sell you certain fish if you don’t have the right setup too. Good job crew! I will be back.

I have been buying from Something Fishy for about a year now. I have had nothing but high quality fish from them. Madison is full of knowledge and always willing to answer my questions. I just recently bought their food for tropical fish. I was astonished how the health and behavior have changed for the better of my fish. I had a fish that was swimming vertically for a month. 2 days on the food, it's back to normal!

Such an amazing range of fish types, sizes, colors! Prices were very reasonable and the tanks were clean. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave advice on what is the best type of fish for our existing tank!

I was very happy to find such a wonderful fish store. The owner was a pleasure to talk too and seemed very knowledgeable on the aquarium trade.

The fish were all super healthy and the tanks were kept in really good condition. The prices on fish was very good. I could call the store a destination store with such good quality at affordable prices.

Sadly I live far away and was passing through. I hope to visit again and suggest going to check out Something Fishy to support a great company.

Something fishy is the place to go for anything fish related. Ian the owner has extensive knowledge of the care and maintaining of all different kinds of fish. He can explain tank setup, proper balancing of the tank, how to combine the correct fish together and your tank so they won't eat each other... LOL! But it's more than just that, he has tanks everywhere with sizes reaching over a hundred gallons. In some he has stingrays, freshwater gars, and other large fish, I could only dream of having. We bought a tank from a large pet store that was happy to sell us almost $100 worth of tank, decorations and fish and really didn't explain the proper care and maintenance of the tank. We were led to believe just add water, fish, plug in the filter and heater and that was all you needed to do. Ian walked us through step-by-step what we need to do to set up our tank, stock it and maintain it successfully without killing our fish every couple weeks. We will buy Future fish from this store, and when we upgrade to a larger tank, I will consult with him on how to do it properly. Highly recommend this store for the expertise and knowledge of the owner. He also said that if he didn't stock what we desired, he could order it. So I would rather go to the store that Deals Only in fish and has a man who knows how to raise and maintain them. He also has breeder tanks and explained the process of all that, it's a little bit above what I'm ready for now. Very nice to talk with him!

Extremely impressed! Something Fishy has everything you need, whether you're a beginner or an advanced 'fish person'. Was very surprised with the amount of different kinds of fish they have! From the basic guppy to the exotic kinds, plus has all of the accessories that are needed. Being a novice, I was full of questions and the owner took the time to answer every question I had with full explanations that I could understand. Owner is exceptionally knowledgeable in all aspects & very friendly ~definitely worth the drive!
