We had tried a different kennel the day before which was disastrous because they ended up losing both of our dogs and I had to miss out on our jet boat tour to find the dogs. We had contacted Sue a while back about boarding our dogs but one of our dogs is anxious and so she didn’t feel comfortable taking him (which we understood) and is why we tried a different kennel. However, after our disastrous experience we contacted Sue and talked to her about things again and she agreed to see how the dogs would do. She said they did great and if we are ever in need of a kennel in that area again I will definitely use her again!

We were in a last minute bind and were so fortunate to find Sue and Slate Creek Kennels. If anyone is ever in need of boarding or daycare in the Riggins, ID area, Slate Creek Kennels is the place! Sue took wonderful care of Flynn and Fig while we hit the white water of the Salmon River. Sue went WAY above and beyond to help us out! Their facilities and yard were well kept and clean as well. I 100% recommend Slate Creek! ?

Sue was wonderfully flexible with us as we scheduled our day long rafting trip and required day boarding for our lab. The kennels were as advertised; very clean, spacious, and on a beautiful piece of property. We have never left our Lab before in a dog care facility and Sue could not have made this experience any better. We highly recommend her services if you need to kennel your pooch and will surely be back in the future.

Our two Scotties were very well cared for by Sue at Slate Creek Kennels, the day we jet boated on the Snake River. They had a excellent time and were in great spirits when we collected them at the end of the day. The Kennel had great accommodations. Clean, air conditioned (in the summer) and was located in a beautiful spot. I highly recommend.

My dogs are a lot of work! All three of them are on some form of medication, and very picky eaters so they need their food prepared in order for them to eat, it’s a lot of work!!! Sue has taken them in and didn’t laugh or roll her eyes when I showed up with detailed instructions on how they need their bone broth and venison to be warmed up every night for their dinners or they just won’t eat!! I am so grateful to be able to take my dogs to a place that they enjoy and I don’t worry about them!! Can’t recommend Slate Creek Kennels enough, your dogs may not want to go home with you when you go to pick them up, it’s that good!! Thanks for loving my dogs Sue!!!

We have never boarded our dogs before. They are our babies. We were so nervous about boarding them to spend a day on the Snake River. Sue was amazing. She took such good care of them and put us so at ease from the get-go. It was obvious when we picked them up, they had received lots of attention and were well taken care of. The kennels had AC, room for our kids beds, and they seemed to settle in quickly. When we got back, Sue let us wash our car since they had just laid this tarry mess on the forest service road we took to meet our outfitter. When you met Sue, you felt like you already knew her and that she already knew your pups. There was no doubt they were going to be taken care of!!!! Five stars for sure.
