I’ve read some negative reviews, and sometimes you just can’t please people. Our dogs have been with Sierra Vet for over 10 years, and we’ve NEVER had any negative experiences. Great staff, great and compassionate care…always!

Our dog Cooper developed a skin infection on his foot over the weekend. I called at 7:30am Monday morning and let us bring him in. They treated him and called us at 11am to pick him up with medication ready. Now that is veterinary care! We’re so grateful! Thank you Sierra Veterinary Care!

Sierra veterinary clinic is amazing. The staff and Dr.’s were so compassionate and understanding in the toughest decision I’ve ever made in my life and that was to put my little dog down. Dr Wittman was amazing and I’ve never come across any Dr like him. I brought my little dog because she was in respiratory distress . She was in congestive heart failure and I had never been to this vet before so I wasn’t sure what to expect . As soon as we entered they noticed my dog having problems breathing and whisked her to the back to an oxygen cage where she stayed for a day and a half.
The decision was made that my dogs advanced heart failure was making her suffer, the dr. Asked if we’d like one more night with my baby to say our last goodbyes . So we got to bring her home . The next morning was tough and it was like every staff member knew and was super compassionate. Everything went as smooth as it could have gone. They put us in a room where after we had our Baby put to sleep we could just go directly into the parking lot instead of having to endure going through the waiting room full of other people’s fur babies. I highly recommend Sierra veterinary clinic. They are by far the. Very best! Thank you

I had called them after my vet of many years recently died. They weren't taking new patients (no vets in the surrounding area were) and I was referred to Oakdale. Then between trips to Oakdale for emergency care and Sacramento for cardiology trying to find out what was going on with my dog, he took a grave turn for the worse. After spending all evening and all night with my best friend knowing this was going to be the last night with him tore me up. Then the bouts of him screaming in pain and not able to do anything about it but cry with him and wait for 7:30 in the morning to find a place to euthanize him... I had no ride to Oakdale and Sierra said they could get him in at 2:40 in the afternoon.

I wanted him cremated. I wanted his paw print. I wanted him to go on the shelf with my other dog and his paw print. I was told they do a print in ink. That was fine. I could frame it.

My neighbor gives me a ride with my pup. By this time his is in constant distress and so am I. There is no easing his pain.

The doctor comes in and explains the process: sedation then euthanasia. The sedation kills him. It appeared he suffered a heart attack or a seizure. It was painful. But, I told myself as I looked him eye to eye that he was still with me and could hear me when I told him he was a good boy and I love him and will miss him so much. And, to find Diesel over the Rainbow Bridge and wait for me because I'll be there very soon myself and I'll come looking for both of them.

Then, when my husband went and picked up his ashes, his paw print wasn't in the bag when he got home. I called Sierra Veterinary Care and asked if maybe they forgot to include it. They said they put it in the bag. I checked the truck thinking maybe it fell out. Nope. It's not in the truck.

It's a no win situation. They're saying they put it in the bag. My husband clearly doesn't have it, it's not in the bag and it's not in his truck. And, now we don't have my pup's print.

They lied to me three times without me reacting. Why couldn't they have just got another little dog, got his paw print, passed it off as my dog's and said "Oh hey, we found it!". I would NEVER have known the difference.

I'm disappointed and hurt but I've learned a lesson. If you go to a vet to say goodbye to your goodbye to a fur baby and you're brought into an exam room with a cold metal table to say goodbye, it kinda tells ya a little something about the compassion factor.

This vet treats my dog like their own family member. Dr. Klinite's expertise caught something that resulted in a quick treatment plan for my pup. She was so knowledgeable, so caring and so patient with me every time I spoke with her. She treated me and my dog like we were the only patients in her care. I am so incredibly grateful for her and her team.

This office never ceases to amaze me! They are always so busy, but still manage to treat me and my pup like we are the only ones there. They are always available to us and take the greatest care of my pets.
