Brutus, our 6 year old Border Collie, had a very good first appointment today with Haley at Scenthound. We signed up for a membership that we felt was the right plan for us and looking forward to our next appointment in late February. Haley did a fantastic job bathing, drying and blowing out Brutus, brushed his teeth and did his nails by dremel. Brutus seemed to really have liked Haley and he behaved quite well for her she said. Could have saved $25 by not having him dried or brushed out (Blow-out) but with as much hair as Brutus has, that just didn’t make much sense. We arrived right on time for one of their earliest appointments and Brutus went straight back for his grooming session and was completely done in an hour without having to be caged as I waited in the lobby for him. We are more than satisfied and were out the door for a little under $70 including tip, which is more than a fair price as we’ve been paying $100-$120 every 2-3 months. If you’re going to wait for your pet to be bathed and groomed, bring a heavy jacket and a blanket as it’s quite cold in the lobby but it was 28-30 degrees outside this morning. I suggest going to Biscuit Barn for breakfast or something else.

I really appreciated the experience here. She was so excited to see my Maxx. She got down to his level and gave his so much love. You can tell she loves animals. She gave me great expectations and explained the process, gave me exact timing and pricing and offered me an ongoing program for Maxx. She explained his hygiene condition they assessed and how we could keep it up at home and offered product. She was not pushy or in sales mode at all. Just wanted the best for my dog. They even gave his a cute bandana and he looked like MONEY when we left. I signed up for a monthly visit. GREAT WORK!!! THANK YOU!!!

I took my bernedoodle here for a dog wash, nail trim & ear cleaning and had a great experience! They were very friendly, walked me through all the options available, and did a great job. He came back all brushed out and loved the staff. I would highly recommend this location!

Scenthound has been disappointing me with how they do my dogs nails and ear cleanings. We have the membership which includes bath, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, nail trim and nail drill. However every time we come pick our dog up, her ears are still dirty and bothering her and her nails are still long and sharp. I don’t believe they ever use the nail drill on her even though we are paying for it. If there is an issue where our dog won’t let them perform a task they should talk to us about it so we can figure a solution but they never have. The picture i added is all the wax still in her ears after we just picked her up. Scent hound has a nice staff and has the best price for dog care, but every visit i am never satisfied with my dogs care. I also wish they had cameras in the facility just so I could watch (but that’s just my personal preference). They also leave the dogs in the cage after a bath without blow drying (blow drying is an extra like $20?) so my poor girl is sitting there cold.

Love Scenthound, Bingsu Min and Blitzen looks amazing and Bingsu Min so far doesn’t look like she will get an ear infection anytime soon. They smell and look so fresh and so clean! They do a great job, I got the unlimited plan.

I brought both of my English Labs for grooming – a 1.5-year-old male and a 5-month-old female. The initial quote was $35 per dog for their first groom. Although I inquired about paw pad trimming over the phone, the additional fee wasn't reiterated upon arrival and when I went to pay the $70 quote turned into $91. Concerns arose when I learned they place dogs in a cage with a cool fan for drying, potentially leaving them slightly damp as they charge $25 to use a power blow dryer.

The payment process was unconventional, requiring payment and tipping before seeing the dogs. Bringing dogs out one at a time, with a leash around their neck caused chaos when my excited dog met other dogs waiting in the waiting room .it took both my husband myself and the girl to settle my dog down as we had limited control with the noose around his neck. Allowing dogs to wear their collars and harness before reuniting with owners would prevent such situations. I requested a hygienic bath with a nail trim, but my male dog's paws weren't uniformly trimmed, yet full price was charged and although included in their “package” they should have offered a discount for the pad trim for him.

To compound the experience, my puppy was excessively wet, as they indicated she was highly stressed and they didn’t want to put her in the kennel with a fan. So meanwhile my dog sat soaking wet while waiting for us to pick her up. NOT damp but soaking wet! No phone call to let me know she was stressed. No phone call to ask if they could try to dry her with a blow dryer. Zero communication!! The pictures are of my puppy. They brought her out to me soaked and expected this was acceptable? She smelled worse than when we brought her in. Nothing like wet dog Eau de’ Parfum! Adding insult to injury the unapologetic attitude from the girl at the front desk further diminished the overall experience. I did receive a call from the owner who shared of his 5 star reviews and was more focused on others experiences then my own. He did offer for me to bring back my dog to try to correct the damage. But I wasn’t about to revisit that experience. He should have offered a refund! I won't be returning and strongly caution others against this establishment.

Our first visit to Scenthound and it exceeded our expectations. Our dog was nervous going in but I felt confident the groomers would make her feel comfortable. An hour later she looked and smelled beautiful with a wagging tail. Friendly service! Will use again.
