I brought my 3 month old Cavapoo to get her vaccinations. I cannot say enough about how great the service is and how pleasant all the staff are. They answered all my questions and each time I go back they are all just as professional and friendly as the first time. I received a welcome kit and a beautiful welcome card in the mail from them. My puppy has no fear going to vet and I would highly recommend them!

I had an “emergency” with my rabbit, Kaiser, two weekends ago. It was not an “emergency” per se, but was to me because of a prior experience I had with another rabbit that I lost. I recently moved to the area and was about to be away on a work trip for a week. I work in the veterinary field so I know how hard it is to get appointments, let alone a last minute one. That on top of not being an established client. I explained the situation and the receptionist could not have been kinder or more understanding. I was somehow able to get an appointment with Dr. Fitzpatrick just a couple of hours later. The entire staff was so phenomenally amazing and didn’t make me feel like a freak for being worried about my bunny. Dr. Fitzpatrick took great time and care with Kaiser and I, and gave him medication to be safe. It made me feel so much better.

To the staff of Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital- I can’t tell you what this meant to me and how wonderful you were. Thank you SO much and for all you do each and every day!

We have been clients of Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital for 35 years. We would not have continued to trust them with our pets if we had not continually received excellent, state-of-the-art care. We trust them implicitly.

As I write this I’m watching my sweet 15 year old English Cocker breathe her last. I’m a 35 year customer of Salmon Brook Veterinary Hospital and they were always there at my pets end of life to ease their way with an at home euthanasia. Last Friday, they did a CT scan on my girl and found a mass. They were good about calling to check on her, but when I called them today to put her to sleep in the comfort of her home, they said they no longer offer that service. Fine time to tell me! They gave me the number of a mobile vet who wanted to charge $1200. I begged SBVH to come out for the sake of 35 years history, but they refused. Beware as they still show up on Google Search for At Home Euthanasia. I suggest that you go to a veterinary hospital that is loyal to their clients, and that has a heart. .

Update: my sweet girl died at 3:11am. I had to watch her suffer for hours with no pain meds. SBVH told me to call a mobile vet to perform euthanasia (none available except the number they gave me which is $1200). I was with her through her last breath, and my grief is mixed with such sadness that I couldn’t give her an easy death.
