This place is absolutely worthless. They are a bunch of racists and shouldn't even advertise for emergencies. We just adopted a puppy, and it turns out he has an ear infection. We have no idea how long he's had it. Obviously, I don't have insurance because we just got him, and they refused to see us. Before going, we called and explained the situation to the receptionist, who never told us it wasn’t an emergency and not to come; on the contrary, she said we could come. When we arrived, we registered, and then a woman from the staff I don’t know if was a doctor or nurse but she told us they had other animals with more critical issues and that if we wanted to be seen, we’d have to wait all night. She suggested we go to our regular vet (which we don’t have because we just got the puppy) or come back on Monday to see if they could see us. She treated us as if our money was worthless or as if we couldn’t afford to pay. That woman is completely ignorant. Also, there was a white woman waiting to be seen, and her dog didn’t look critical at all. It didn’t even look like it was dying, and there the staff lady almost bent over backward to let her in with her dog. This place should vanish from Redwood City if they don’t like serving Latinos. They don’t even know that Latinos pay whatever is asked.

Este lugar no sirve para nada. Son unos racistas y ni se deberían anunciar para emergencias. Acabamos de agarrar un perrito bebé y resulta que trae una infección como en el oído. No sabemos cuánto tiempo tenga con ella. Obviamente no tengo aseguranza pues apenas lo agarramos y no nos quisieron atender. Antes de ir llamamos por teléfono y le dijimos la situación a la mujer y nunca nos dijo que eso no era de emergencia y que no fuéramos, al contrario nos dijo que podíamos ir. Cuando llegamos ahí nos registraron luego salió una tipa que ayuda atrás y nos dijo que tenían otros animales con problemas más críticos y que si queríamos que nos atendieran y vamos a tener que esperar toda la noche. Que si no nos fuéramos con su veterinaria de cabezera( la cual no hay aún) porque apenas lo agarramos. Y que si no regresáramos el lunes aver si nos atendían. Nos trató como si nuestro dinero no valiera o como si no tuviera para pagar. Es una total ignorante esa tipa. También ahí había una mujer blanca esperando ser atendida y su perro no se veía nada crítico. Ni que se estuviera muriendo y ahí si la tipa casi se pone de tapete para que la señora pase con su perro. Este lugar debería desaparecer de redwood city si no les gusta atender latinos. Ni siquiera sabe que los latinos pagamos lo que nos pidan.

Buen servicio un poco caro pero vale la pena cuando el servicio es de primera no duele pagar tanto dinero , además la salud de mi Chihuahua Simba y mi french Bulldog Leo no tiene precio , fueron muy atentos y siempre te tienen al tanto de lo que está pasando lo recomiendo mucho , estamos muy contentos de tener un servio de veterinario como Sage center cerca de nuestra casa ?.

We took our precious dog to another hospital yesterday to get an operation done for a pyometra (as suggested by another vet that did her general checkup) and were told that she was doing terribly and could crash at any moment. The doctor told us she would be unable to perform the surgery due to her severe anemia and told us she recommended euthanasia. We were mortified at this news and asked if there was anything else we could do for our poor, sweet girl. She replied the only other option would be a blood transfusion that could cost thousands of dollars but we disregarded that fact and focused on saving our dog. After making several calls asking if any emergency hospitals in our area could do this for her we found SAGE and they told us to bring her in to see what they could do after hearing the situation from the doctor. Everything went well and they were able to save our baby from the worst. We are so incredibly thankful to all the friendly and hardworking staff that were able to make this miracle possible for her.

We 100% recommend SAGE to everyone, they can rest assured that their dog will be cared for and well taken care of here.

We had the absolute best care at Sage from start to finish for such an unfortunate event. My dog exhibited signs of IVDD/ruptured disc as her hind legs started to drag and she lost control of her bladder/bowel functions. We took her to Sage under the advisement of our vet and were seen immediately for an ultimate emergency spinal surgery to remove the ruptured disc particles that were impacting her spine/neuro functions.

The entire staff was wonderful from intake, updates, medical forms & financial overviews, discharge and post-op care. The front desk staff, vet techs, nurses, and surgeons were amazing! We cannot thank them enough for taking care of our sweet, anxious Mabel and getting her on the road to recovery. They all deserve to be showered with love & raises for the selfless work they do day in and day out in such a stressful, thankless environment.

1000/10 recommend Sage to any and everyone with any pet emergencies. Hoping we don’t have to return for a very long time, but if we do, we know right where to go!

Brought my German Shepherd to get a second opinion from a surgeon . The nurse was incredibly sweet , caring, and loving to my dog. Dr. Colleen McCoy was absolutely kind , very knowledgeable , honest and answered all my questions and offered detail explanations and practical advice.
Reception was friendly, and so pleasant to talk with, and very helpful.

My Cooper blew out his Cruciate ligaments bilateral and Sage took us in immediately. The care is more than Excellent it is Superior. Cooper recovered wonderfully from the 1st tear in May 2022 and will recover from this 2024 tear. Sage has Excellent Employees, not 1 was in a poor mood nor dismissive to their clients. I observed nothing but Compassion and Empathy along with Patience not only extended towards my boy however with every single Fur Baby that came in and left. I personally am so grateful Sage Redwood City is available to our Family. The after care is also Wonderful. This Veterinarian Hospital listens to the Clients because the Clients know their fur baby the Best. 10 Stars ? from me and I have been a Fur parent for over 40 years. Thank you Sage:.Redwood City.

My senior Cocker Spaniel, “Lady” developed an alarming symptom. This was my 1st experience with Sage in Redwood City.
I was immediately booked for the first available appointment in Urgent Care.
EVERYONE- the doctor, techs, and office staff, was empathetic, kind, and supportive.
The doctor took the time to review Lady’s various issues, and together we decided on the most cost effective plan of treatment for Lady.
From Lady’s perspective: she was a bit nervous but after receiving a couple of post doctor visit treats, she’s much more comfortable comfortable and is able to rest.
