I would be absolutely screwed without Rover’s Place. They are awesome. I have two dogs with very particular needs and they are so good with both of my dogs and I know they give them a ton of love and TLC while my dogs are being boarded. Rover’s was also so beyond accommodating around the birth of my child and they gave me such great peace of mind. I’m so so so grateful for them! ❤️🐾

Rover's place grooming is the best groomers in IL period. Fran has a huge heart and helped our golden doodle adjust when she hated grooms. Hidden gem and the best groomers!!

Really good dog daycare and dog boarding place in the north burbs. I've been taking my large pup here boarding for the past year or so, and she gets extra excited when we pull into the parking lot. I also like how they have cameras in the kennel areas so I can check and see how my lil demon is getting along.

If Marvel (my dog) is happy, then I'm happy. He loves to jump out of the car to meet the staff and all of the pooches in the facility. Everyone I've met have been so friendly and helpful. I love that I can sneak a peek of his activities with their webcams. The location is convenient, right off of the Edens and the process of drop-off and pickup is painless. I also enjoy that there are plenty of guests on a daily basis, ensuring that Marvel gets plenty of entertainment and socialization.

I chose the right Doggy Day care and boarding for my Irish setter, Luna since she was three months old. Luna is always so happy and excited when I say “ Luna, you are going to Rovers Place”.

The care is excellent and the staff keeps a close eye on our loved ones. For example - I came in to pick up Luna and there I saw Luna, in front at the gate. I asked Courtney - “Is that my Luna?” And Courtney told me that they found a tick in her hair and immediately removed it and treated the area of her head.

So, I’m (very over due) giving a huge shout out to Rovers place. I always felt safe and calm leaving my Irish under the care of the Rovers Place staff. Thank you.

Rover’s Place is fantastic. My dog is always happy to go here, and the staff express so much joy to see her when we come in. She never smells bad when I take her home, they keep it very clean and have cameras so you can spy on your pupper. They have phenomenal customer service here and we feel very comfortable leaving our dog with them!♥️

Wow!
I have taken three Bernese to rovers in northbrook over the the years.
This morning had to be a first!
Scheduled an evaluation for my 7 month old puppy was told to wait?
Then a kid comes out and says we need to reschedule?
No phone call ahead of time to tell me we need to reschedule, I called yesterday to confirm,
only to be told when I get there I need to reschedule?
I was told by people it’s not the same as it used to be but I felt it deserved a shot…. I was so wrong on so many levels!
FYI people work for a living. Can’t just reschedule it. You made me drive out there to come and bring my dog on his scheduled appointment or better when I called yesterday to confirm my appointment somone should have said something clearly you over booked and figured it would be okay?
Being 3 minutes past nine was not the issue it’s not like you have walk in evaluations people it’s a scheduled appointment!
Good thing I have another Doggy Daycare set up. They actually want the buisness. Those people who said don’t go ther were 1000 percent correct!
Bad bad business and I kinda hesitated but I felt that after three dogs they deserved a honest shot and to make my own choice?
I was a 100% disappointed bad business, all across-the-board wouldn’t leave my dog there ever . I’m glad it didn’t work I see it for what it’s worth!

As I respect the need for a response after we did talk I will reiterate that it was not more than 5 minutes and I confirmed yesterday it was not said 9 sharp….
As a business person who owns a business
You may need to reconsider the condescending
Response?
And own the fact you had me drive there again after I confirmed I was not more than 5 minutes and they did take a woman’s dog back before me for daycare left me there waiting to say go home? I stand on what I said .
Thanks for reaching out it was appreciated.
But extremely back handed on here.
This is on you guys not me.
I certainly won’t recommend you guys and I used you for years there’s a reason I’m not now and yes I have another place I wanted him to use both but I’m good with my choice for this dog Thank you again!

We had a very mixed experience boarding our dogs here, and unfortunately the bad outweighed the good. I would give 0 stars but the caregivers were lovely. I was at first impressed by their temperament testing and felt confident to board our two dogs for a week. When we picked them up there wasn’t anyone at the desk for me to confirm cost or payment with. I asked the caregiver and she said they would follow up - I never got an invoice or receipt (had to check my credit card statement to even see the total). Overall the administrative side of the business did not impress me. I did think the caregivers all seemed to love the dogs.

The serious issue came when right after we got home we noticed one of our dogs behaving strangely. We watched her and realized she had symptoms of bloat. She was rushed to emergency surgery within 2 hours of us bringing her home from boarding so it’s almost certain it happened while at boarding. Amazingly she survived (chances of surviving bloat are quite small). A few days after she was home from the hospital and mostly out of the woods I called Rover’s Place to give them a heads up that it happened. I asked to speak to a manager and tried to very kindly fill her in. I truly placed no blame on them, my hope was that if they were aware it could serve as a reminder to keep a close eye on the dogs in their care for signs of bloat. She immediately became very defensive and rude. I explained I was not asking for anything except that maybe this would be a reminder and help any dogs in the future. She was then silent and after an uncomfortable amount of time said “ok” and hung up. Unprofessional doesn’t begin to describe it.

Overall, I think the employees caring for the dogs truly enjoy them and seem kind. The administrative side of the business is alarming to me and we will clearly never be back. I later realized I had no idea if my dogs were boarded together in a room or separately - I had asked and was told they would see how it went. Boarding pups requires a good amount of trust and they certainly lost mine.
