A trusted vet who shows genuine care for your pet!
We've been bringing my doberman here since she was a puppy- she's 10 now. All of our experiences with Rose City have been comforting, informative, safe, and trusted. We've done check-ups, tests, and even surgeries- and my dog has always been in such good hands. Recently their thorough checking prevented our dog from going under a dangerous surgery, which could have ended her life. We're so thankful. We live an hour and a half away and still prioritize this hospital over ones in our area!

I will be submitting all related picture and documents soon. We toke our beloved Roxy Cane corso to get spayed
On August 2.2024. On August 4,2024 had to take her to the Emergency room where we live in Antelope Valley where she was bleeding internally. Had Emergency surgery my poor girl. Luckily the doctor Dr Justin save her life. Our mistake was trusting Rose City Veterinary Hospital with our girl. With prayers and luck hopefully she will get better soon. We reached out to the doctor that performed the surgery she said that everything was fine during the surgery false. We were told by the second Doctor there where was so much internal bleeding that if we waited another couple of hours she would not make it!!! The owner of rose city does not care!!! I couldn't care less about the money!!! What price does part of your family have!!!' Do your research and stay away from -Rose City Veterinary Hospital the owner will never accept responsibility period!!!!! My Dear Roxy is in so much pain!!!! How dare you Rose Veterinary hospital say there was nothing wrong with the surgery that was performed at your facility. I should have seen then other reviews where other beloved pets have died in your care!!! And that's not the case Dr Justin did express concerns when he open up ours Roxy there was extra stitches so he said that there must have had trouble controlling the bleeding in the first surgery! Also no one at Rose Veterinary Hospital ever express or called us about the bleeding. And send us with Roxy Home with internal bleeding. I will also be filling a complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board (VMB).

Don't do it! BUT if you do bring your dogs here to crop their ears. I brought my doberman and let me tell you they look beautiful. At first I was scared due to some of the reviews but I never had an issue with anyone. The Dr. spoke with me before and after surgery which was reassuring. Everyone is also really nice especially Gloria who does the tapping afterwards. Only negative thing is the phones tend to be busy since they are so busy. I found it best to call after lunch. Here's a picture of my baby, enjoy.
P.s. try not to do ear cropping during the rainy season. Her tape got wet multiple times which made the process so much longer and frustrating.

We've taken our dog to rose city vet since he was a puppy. Each and every time he sees a different vet or tech. No biggie, I never thought much of it. At 1 year old they recommended surgery on a lipoma. I didnt realize until a year later that lipomas are common in his breed and all they had to do was aspirate fluid from it to check for cancer, not perform surgery. During covid he became really scared to go there for his vaccinations and I wondered why. They wouldn't let people in with their pets so there was no telling what had happened to him. He's 12 now, extremely sweet, never been aggressive or bitten a soul in his life. Fast forward and I noticed that about once a month he'd want to eat grass in the morning so I made an appointment. His stools up until then were solid, brown, appeared normal. Dr. Domotor suggested we change his food because she said blue Buffalo causes heart problems (when we first brought him 13 years ago they praised blue Buffalo and in all this time never told us about these issues with the food), she told us to feed him Iams, give him glucosamine, Famotidine, and fish oil. One week later he is vomiting, panicking to go out and eat grass, watery stools for over 24 hours. I rushed him back to Rose City vet and Dr. Domotor acted clueless. She, again, wanted to run $600 worth of tests. I asked for a pancreatitis test only. Which is what he should have had done initially, instead of having me buy all this Iams kibble and wet food and meds. He has pancreatitis, as suspected but it seems quite urgent now when it wasn't prior to seeing her. She then wanted to change his food again but at this point I don't trust processed food, or her for that matter. I asked her to assist me with a while food diet for him. I am going to cook his food but I want to make sure he has all the nutrients he needs and a supplement if necessary. She pushed canned dog food on me. $5/can of processed mush. No help with suggesting a nutritionist, just kept trying to scare me into expensive tests. Before going to her he was a jumping, playful, happy dog who went on brisk 30min walks every single day with solid, non greasy, brown stools. Now we're fighting to get him back.

I love this place. I was referred here by another friend that was doing aquatic therapy for her dog. We have been going here for about half a year now for physical therapy and pool therapy for our corgi and we couldn't be happier with the service and care they provide. The time they spend with each patient is fantastic and I really feel like they care. I know they are busy, but they make you feel like you are a VIP. I have never had an issue with the front office staff, techs, or doctors. The girls in the front office are always busy on the phone and checking people in, but they have always been so helpful when we call. You will be able to see that this place is busy and for all the right reasons! They are busy because they worth it. I drive my corgi out for care from downtown LA because we are so impressed with the care they provide. We love doctor Brickman, our primary doctor, and Danielle, our physical therapist. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new vet or therapy for your pupper! I know everyone has their own experiences, but I have never had a bad one here. This is just like many medical facilities. Things happen, emergencies come in, and I have only had to wait in the past when something happens behind the scenes. However, this would happen in any medical facility (whether it would be for the care of a dog, cat, or human). I just would have to say that I really appreciate them and believe they are doing their best even on days when they are short staffed. I even appreciate that I can wait in my car and do some work, while they take care of my dog inside. The doctor has even come and found me in my car to talk to me about her plan of care. She also lets me ask all the questions that I have, which is why I love talking to Danielle and Dr. Brickman (they are very patient with my concerns). They are sweet, professional, very knowledgeable, and are just trying to do what they think is best for my dog.

Not many Veterinarians are knowledgeable regarding the ovary sparing spay. It is cutting edge medicine. I drove my precious Golden Retriever two hours to the hospital because
Dr. Dana Bleifer, DVM came highly recommended. On a scale of 1-10 she is a 10+
What a wonderful doctor and lady. I was a wreck with worry and she made me feel so safe.
The staff were all very understanding and kind!
They sent us home with excellent instructions
and a very cute protection cover-up.
Thank you- Thank you- Thank you!

This place killed my grandparents' Doberman puppy and are accepting zero responsibility. The puppy is dead due to their negligence.
My grandparents took their three-month-old Doberman puppy, Tyson, to Rose City Veterinary Hospital on Tuesday, January 9 for three routine procedures: dew claw removal, ear cropping, and tail docking. They said the procedure would be at 9:30am and to drop him off at 9am to prepare him for surgery. They said they would call my grandparents when it was time to pick him between 4pm and 5pm.
My grandparents went to check on him at the clinic at 3:50pm, and the staff told them they had not started on his surgery that was scheduled for 9:30am. My grandma told them that they would wait in the lobby, even though the staff said it would be at least two hours. At 4:38pm, the doctor who was supposed to perform the procedure, Dr. Bliefer, came up to them to say that their puppy passed away. She stated she "did not know what happened."
This puppy was 10 weeks old and in perfect health, but was not given any water or food from before 9am to when they started the surgery at 4pm. He was put in a cramped cage all day where he could not turn around. Then he was given anesthesia and immediately died on the operating table. He was supposed to be in good hands.
My grandma was so upset, her pace maker went off and she was almost taken to the ER. This has caused terrible emotional stress for my family, and this business refuses to be held accountable for the damage they caused. We will be filing complaints with the Veterinary Medical Board of California, as well as pursuing legal action for the lack of responsible care given and zero responsibility taken.
This establishment blamed having other "life-saving surgeries" as the reason to move my grandparents' puppy's surgery, when in reality, it was the inattentiveness of the staff to the puppy's needs for 6 hours that led to the puppy's extremely weakened state before the anesthesia was finally given.
Please don't ever seek services here. Not only do they make horrible, reckless mistakes, but they gaslight you into thinking that a healthy, happy puppy can all of a sudden die for no reason.

WOW what a fabulous experience! I took my 8 year old pug here when he hurt his eye, and the staff was so incredibly nice! They fit him in even though they were busy, the receptionist was so helpful and accomodating, and the vet was kind, thoughtful, and effecient! Plus my pup hates the vet, and when I came back to pick him up his tail was wagging when normally it is tucked firmly between his legs. Can't say enough great things about this place!
