Staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The packed the fish so they could make the 2 hour ride home. They even made sure my cooler was warm enough. They had a great fish selection and I had multiple choices of the fish I wanted. Would highly recommend

I have been coming to this store often for the last two to three years now. The first time I visited, I fell in love with it. The owners are friendly and super knowledgeable about fish. They have about every product you could ever need for keeping aquariums, from hard scape to plenty of aquatic (and a few terrestrial) plants, and plenty of filtration. And this is not to mention their insane fish and aquatic creature selection. There is always something new to find, and I regularly go back just to peruse. Of course, they won't be as cheap as a big box store, but that's not really why we go to shops like Roe. It's for the people, and for the palpable love of aquariums. And other pets that can be seen at times, like parakeets or conures! Truly one of my favorite stores in the world.

Has the best selection of plants and cool rocks. They are well educated when it comes to fish and anything scaly. The customer service is amazing as well. Love this family owned business. These fish were bought from Roe and have been doing fabulous. Even if your not in the market to buy things there, it's a cool place to peek into.

Absolutely hands down the best freshwater store in the area! Love the family owned atmosphere and the amazing knowledge they have! The selection of fish is ever changing and always a variety of different types!

This store is wonderful. It’s not fancy with all the frills but the staff and owners are knowledgeable and care about the earth and providing good customer service. It’s a small local business - NOT Walmart/ Lowes or pet smart - so yes the prices are higher - but I think worth it to support a local business and our rock island economy. My questions about pond maintenance were answered and I was given excellent advice about what to do and how to not use a lot or any harmful chemicals. I appreciate this local business a great deal!

This was my first time here. This is a wonderful gem of a store. Even though the owner was busy with other customers he didn't rush through or make anyone feel stressed. He answered all my questions and even told me if the plant he sold me starts to over run the tank, don't throw it out, bring the extra back in to him and he will buy it from me. In my opinion he had a large selection of healthy fish to pick from, and to my delight a wonderful selection of nano fish. The owner states that I should come back again when he is better stocked!!! I can't imagine, but I will definitely be back. It's a wonderful family owned store!
