Was taking care of my sister‘s Boston for a week while she was out of town. There was a mishap and Charlie hurt his front left leg, which had him limping in obvious pain. I was afraid that his leg was broken, and that mine would be when my sister found out, so I called Riser On Touhy Avenue. This was early in the morning and they got Charley right in, and that was the first thing that impressed me. They were knowledgeable, professional, empathetic, and friendly. After a couple x-rays, Charlie was given some medication to take home with him and off we went with a bad sprain, but fortunately no break. Later that day, the doctor contacted me and asked how Charlie was doing. That was the final star in my five star review. They were also reasonably priced, going over everything prior to it being done so that you know the cost you’re looking at. Good people, great place. I highly recommend Riser animal hospital.

It was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean, spacious, and cute. My aunt has brought her dogs and cats there for about 28 years and loves them! I recommend getting your loved pet to their care! They are wonderful!

Riser has clean, modern facilities, and a friendly, caring staff. But the biggest plus for me is Dr. Ken Swiatkowski, formerly of Bramer Animal Hospital of Evanston. Ken has given our cats loving care for years, and we are excited to follow him to Riser. Nothing but the best for the feline members of our household!

I work for a pet insurance company and I had to call this hospital for a records request. Let me tell you, as a veterinary technician myself for 17 years I usually deal with some very grumpy front desk people who might not be as kind to me as they would with a regular client when I call. I wanted to give a special shout out to Danny at the front desk because not only was he quick, helpful, and professional...he was very kind as well. I feel that credit is due to that quality of customer service so I hope that he gets a special recognition from the boss!

After hearing rave reviews about Dr Swiatkowski we decided to give the clinic a try with our new puppy. I had an appointment scheduled for 10/25 at 3:30pm, which was unfortunately missed due to unforeseen construction delays that caused us to arrive 11 minutes late.

As a first-time client, I was unaware of the strict enforcement of the 10-minute grace period policy. When I was called at 3:38 I expressed I was just waiting to turn left at the light into the parking lot. I understand the importance of maintaining a schedule, but given the circumstances, I was hoping for a bit more flexibility, especially since this was our initial visit.
I was told the doctors were all busy with three emergencies and the waiting room was packed. Seeing that I would have to wait anyhow and that the doctor was not waiting on us, this seemed even more unreasonable.
My initial phone call was so promising, the scheduling person was professional and efficient. Such a dramatic contrast to what I experienced today.

Started going to riser two years ago when I moved to edgebrook and I have always loved them since. But today especially, I made a last minute appointment because my dog could not walk due to a cyst in his right front paw. Riser was able to get me in within an hour and we saw Lisa M Wardisiani DVM. My dog gets a little nervous/anxious for any type of appointment but Lisa and the vet tech did so good with him with extra treats and love. Left with antibiotics and pain meds and now I have my happy pup back while he is healing. Amazing place that we have friends and family use as well. Highly recommend!!!

I was referred to riser by a friend who brings their cats here. FORTUNATELY, I've not needed to come here often myself due to healthy feline. I had a check up recently however and was very pleased and appreciative of the care provided. All of the staff was super friendly and accomodating and the vet was amazing. Concerned and thorough without over treating or recommending excessive tests. (I have a senior cat and get over protective sometimes)
