Moved to CT 3.5 years ago and needed a good vet ! Thank god for my real estate agent who recommended Dr. Reid . My 3 dogs have been in great care ever since we moved. From the front desk team to the medical staff everyone had been so great !

Very happy with Reid Veterinary Center, Doctors and crew are well prepared and informative, they take care of my pets and are ready to answer any questions I may have. They always keep me informed of what they are doing and what they see. All in all great place to bring your pets for check ups.

I just want to say thank you to everybody at the veterinarian. They gave my animal. The best care and the customer service was fantastic. I took my cat there because I thought maybe you had a cold or an upper respiratory but they found out it was something else but I’m so glad they found it, recommend this place to anybody in the girl that works works there name Shea. She made the appointment for me and she told me this was a very good place to bring your animal. I want to think Shea for all that and for being so kind on the phone veterinary who took care of Cat was very nice. They explain each things as they were going along like some vets. Don’t even do that but this place did everything they were doing for my cat. They were explaining everything. I love the way they explain each thing and they told me the price of everything before they even did anything. I had other places real bad experience on vets but this one I will give it a five and I will recommend it to anybody to go here and bring your animal, thank you so much for the whole crew that did a good job with my little girl and this will be my veterinarian from now on thank you

Don’t bother taking your pet here. If you have an emergency or need a same day appointment for something that has happened you won’t get in till a week later. Called today to get my dog seen and they couldn’t see me till next Tuesday. Went to a different vet and they found a tumor on his spleen. Just imagine waiting a week to find out this info. How dare you not save at least one appointment each day to see your patients that have an emergency. Don’t waste your money here unless you want to wait a week to be seen anytime you call for anything.

As a veterinarian, I recognize a great practice. This father-daughter team is the best of both worlds.... and not owned by corporate America ?

They saved my dog's life. My dog had a mast cell tumor. I was going to another vet and persisted in asking them to ensure the growth on his stomach was not cancer, as he has had one removed a few years ago. They repeatedly poo pooed my concerns. Even claimed they could not see anything, despite the fact that it was very large. Because of the pandemic they would not let me point it out to the vet. Thank goodness I decided to go for a second opinion. Mobile vet saw me right away. One look at the growth made them do a biopsy and on the spot under a microscope they could see the tell tale signs that this was cancer. They scheduled his surgery for the following week. The surgery was a success.

I was extremely disappointed with this veterinary practice and would not recommend it to anyone. They were absolutely useless when my dog was sick and needed help.
My dog had ongoing health issues, and I made an appointment with Reid Veterinary Center to bring him in, talk through his history, and make a plan for managing his symptoms going forward.
I was not told when I made my appointment that the appointment would be with a different vet who occasionally helps at the practice (Dr. Mead). However, I met with her, explained my dog's situation, and we agreed to continue managing his symptoms. I specifically asked Dr. Mead if we could call in as needed to get extra medication for my dog if his symptoms flared up again and she said we could.
Dr. Mead also said at that appointment that someone would call in a few days to check how he was doing, but they never did.
A little over one week later, my dog's symptoms flared up again and I called in to ask for the medicine that I had discussed with Dr. Mead. The receptionist said we could not get the medicine without seeing one of the primary vets (one of the Reids). I explained how we were just in a week prior and were specifically told by Dr. Mead that we could get the medicine when needed, but I was told that she didn't write this in her chart so they couldn't give it to us. The next available appointment to see one of the Reids and get the medicine was 4 days away. My dog was in pain and throwing up and could not wait that long. The receptionist told me she would check if they could make any accommodations and would get back to me later that day. I never heard back from them.
I called that same morning and made an appointment with another vet in the area. That other vet was able to see my dog right away and did a great job of managing his ongoing care. When your pet is sick, you need a vet who is responsive and able to treat them. Reid Veterinary Center is not able to do that.
