The business model here is inherently defective. They obviously know they’re giving their patients inferior physical therapy care and, for whatever reason, they seem to be okay with it. Two whole wasted sessions in a row. I walked out of the second session. The first wasted session; I never saw the physical therapist I was scheduled with. They left me with a young woman who seemed lost. The second wasted session; the therapist I was scheduled with showed up for about five to ten minutes, during those minutes, he didn’t seem focused at all and then handed me over to the same young woman who again seemed totally lost about what I had been doing in my previous sessions. Add to that that she would leave me alone for long periods of time where I would just sit there doing absolutely nothing.

Victoria Lu, messed up my shoulder so bad. I want to give this place zero stars but it doesn’t allow me. I went here for physical therapy for my shoulder, I got a referral from a mount sinai doctor to go here and it was the worst experience of my life. After my second psychical therapy appointment Victoria Lu who was my physical therapist and she bruised up my shoulder so bad. Her therapy techniques were so harsh and left my shoulder in more pain than ever. I even told her during the appointment that I was in pain but she simply dismissed it. Since then I have been in constant pain going to different doctors to try and fix it.

My shoulders are like your legs. My strong arms and shoulders enable me to lead a normal life. Being in a wheelchair, I need to be able to transfer, otherwise I would be immobile, bedridden. I have been urgently seeking therapy for a month. Be warned, do not go to this place for physical therapy. I slightly tore my rotator cuff in early FEB 2022. My neurologist (in same building) referred me to them on Feb 14 and my appointment was on Feb 18. I explained what I was feeling and how important it is to heal as I use my shoulder for all transfers and did not want tear it more. The therapist advised that I have in-home therapy so I do not have to risk hurting my shoulder coming to the appointment, I agreed and asked "will it take long, as it is urgent I start therapy immediately". She assured me they will call within a week. It has now been a month and I have yet to get a call, and my rotator cuff has gotten worse to the point there I can barely move my arm, and at times the pain is excruciating. My aide and I went to my neurologist to make sure she had contacted the in-home therapist. The receptionist assured us that she would make the call. Another week passed and still no call.My aide and I went back to physiotherapy to make an appointment because I decided i can no longer wait. To my surprise the receptionist while looking at her computer read that I was inappropriate for therapy. i questioned her "what does that mean? Why am I inappropriate? I have an injury." She told me to wait in the waiting room for the therapist to come out and explain. The therapist came out all smiles and says 'how are you?' and I replied not good, I can barely move my arm now. I can not wait for the home therapy I have to make an appointment to see you again. What do you mean by stating I am not appropriate? The therapist said "We do not have the equipment you need. I said yes you do, I have had a torn rotator cuff before on the other shoulder and all your equipment is the same as the other gym. The other therapist at that gym did a lot of range of motion exercise and used thera-bands like you have here. She looked awkward. I was beginning to get really upset. I confronted her "Why were you not honest with me when I first came in and told me I was not appropriate for your therapy-clinic?" She said "I explained it to you" And I said "no, you did not, otherwise I would not be here now." She told me to see my neurologist and I told her I already had. She told me she would call the doctor and see what was up with the situation and I asked again why am I not appropriate for your physiotherapy. Why are you sending me on this run-around? She would not answer. So I said to her point blank "Is it because I am in a wheelchair, and I have disabilities?" She became furtive and says "I have to go to my next appointment." So I said in closing "If you do not help people with disabilities you need to put it on your website, and you need to let all the neurologists know that you will not see clients in wheelchairs.". I left crying.

It's impossible to schedule an appointment here. My Mount Sinai doctor gave me a referral for physical therapy here. It took 3 weeks to get my first appointment and then they said I couldn't have a follow up for another 3 weeks. My physical therapist said I should be coming in twice a week. Also just really dirty gross facilities.

They aren’t that great, they’re are better places were they really use tools and massage much more to really get in there and help you heal.
