Over there course of the past 15 years I must of been to a hand full of these places(Unfortunately) but I can honestly say that The Realization Center is by far the best establishment I have encountered thus far.
Everyone from the girls working the front desk, the staff, even the clients exude such a warm and welcoming energy that every time I walk out of the place I feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
My Counselor (CASAC) Ashley Cortes especially holds a special place in my heart. I’ve never encountered another human being so dedicated to helping others.
I owe a lot to this place and highly recommend everyone and anyone to come here if they feel need be.

The whole entire staff there are harding head to help clients like myself to fight off our addiction before heading back out into the real world. Their professionalism speaks for itself. My counselor Ms. Cindy has been guiding me in the right direction since day one ! Thank you Realization Center, you guys are truly the best.

Warm, welcoming and always introducing new groups. Overall, CASACs are very good and super dedicated - particularly Counselor (CASAC) John T who is the absolute best! There is always someone to talk to and from the ladies at the front desk to the clients to the Group leaders to the Counselors they are all wonderful and genuinely care. there should be a f/t Social Worker helping clients navigate Benefit and resource issues.

I was super excited to re-engage with this program, however, I would suggest that folks do their due diligence and look for other programs. It seems that their main urgency is to start charging insurance. From counselors that break patient client confidentiality, to counselors who are late and cut sessions shorts without patient knowledge or consent. And to staff that does not follow up. I’ve tried to advocate for myself and try to be connected to QPOC counselors for cultural sensitivity I have found no support. As I have continued to seek support during this difficult time I have been met with resistance, nasty attitude from certain client-serving staff. If you are a queer person of color who is serious about their recovery I beg that you don’t waste your time with this organization, that from my experience is mostly concern with processing the insurance claim. ( I recognize this is a business, but I think there is a way to affirm clients in a way that is client-centered)

If you have a loved one struggling with mental illness or a serious drug or alcohol addiction, it is advisable to steer clear of this establishment at all costs. The mental health staff lack the necessary experience and expertise in handling such conditions. Additionally, the management encourages female employees answering the phones to unnecessarily keep callers on hold, especially for important inquiries.

From a professional perspective, the establishment is characterized by high levels of disorganization and inadequacy. A significant portion of their clientele consists of individuals who have been court-appointed or are seeking to avoid legal repercussions or secure housing vouchers. Medicaid clients seem to be their primary source of revenue, raising concerns about the thoroughness of their record-keeping practices, which warrant scrutiny by the authorities.

The psychiatrists at this facility are recent graduates embarking on their residencies, using this setting to gain valuable experience for their resumes. In light of these shortcomings, I would strongly advise against recommending this place to anyone, not even to an adversary.

I’ve been going here for a year, following rehab. The support I’ve received from staff and peers has helped me stay sober for thirteen months. I’m looking forward for the next thirteen as my time winds down here and I continue to build a life I’m excited to wake up to everyday.
