although my grandfather's time in your ICU was short, I want to extend my appreciation for everything your staff done for him and our family. Everyone was extremely caring and kept us all as comfortable as possible. I only wish I could remember names but between his nurses, cnas, respiratory, and the doctors everyone was so very kind to us! We were 2hrs from home and I greatly appreciate you accommodating us and allowing us all the time we could have with our paw paw! Thank you!

Very low quality care with no compassion. I wouldn't recommend this band aid station for yourself or loved ones.

Great hometown hospital! ER is much faster than the surrounding hospitals. Great service. Radiology is awesome! Swing bed care is off the charts! Food is delicious! Highly recommend!

In January 2024, my father was hospitalized here for a few days with several medical issues, which left him mostly incapacitated. To begin, the EMS service which decided Putnam General was the hospital to come to (with his injuries) was clearly seeking the absolute laziest possible option - as this "hospital" was not equipped to manage his injuries. Once admitted, they mis-diagnosed his injuries - underselling how serious they were - and missing 3 out of the 5 fractures he actually had. Further, being prone to falling, they did not put him on fall prevention or watch and I entered the room numerous times to see him halfway out of bed with his IV ripped out, having soiled himself, and been that way for possibly longer than any person should be. Aside from one nurse (shout out to "D" for trying to do the best she could with the absolute worst hospital), the staff was mostly apathetic, unhelpful, and lazy. When my father was finally being transported to a competent facility, they did not communicate that with any of the family members, and it was only discovered because of a visiting family member at the right time - which he was being transported to a different facility than originally planned. As he was being prepped for transport, the nursing staff (also a shout out to "H," the worst possible nurse, and entirely useless - even the Charge Nurse told "H" that she wasn't needed for every little thing) planned to move him in a manner that could've exacerbated his injuries...potentially leading to paralysis below the waist - which EMS corrected. The staff didn't attempt to determine base lines in an effort for effective dosing of medications, and instead relied on over-medication. They left him sitting in his own urine and without bathing him numerous times. They also had no idea that his IV had been pulled out until they removed it for transport. They also provided him with a medication that even EMS questioned. None of the hand sanitizer stations worked or had sanitizer, none of the soap dispensers (from my experience) had soap, and these are basic necessities for preventing illnesses and infections. I would like to say there's some saving grace with the hospital, but after this experience, I wouldn't use it to treat animals, let alone a loved one. I understand that this area treats the generally impoverished and doesn't command a lot of money...but caring for people starts with CARING for people. It was so bad I attempted to file a complaint with Navicent, which gave a "404 Page Not Found" error...imagine that.

Absolute trash facility. No one tell’s you there’s 20+ patients waiting and one doctor scheduled. Not sure why they would ever have one doctor in the entire hospital. That’s real safe. Just waited for hours and hours in the waiting room and finally got pulled to a room just to wait another hour and not one person offered me ice for my broken foot or anything for the pain. Just needs an X-ray. Wish I had known the staff did not care about their patients and I would be left with no explanation on why I was pushed behind new patients coming in and I would have gladly went to Saint Mary’s instead, but instead wasted 3 1/2 hours of my day here to not be seen. Hoping I’m not charged for sitting in the waiting room for hours.

Update: I went to St Mary’s after my entire day was wasted at Putnam general, and was greeted immediately by polite staff, taken back and treated well by multiple nurses and doctors and was in and out with X-rays, a shot for pain and discharged within an hour.

This facility needs more than one doctor if they are backed up with 20+ patients or at least nurses that are patient and kind and treat us who are waiting with respect instead of giving attitude when we are wondering why we’re getting pushed behind new patients coming in.

If you have an emergency-keep going to St. Mary's. By far the worst hospital in Georgia. ER staff is terrible.

Was just there and I waited for over an hour in the back never seen a nurse or doctor then when I asked what was taking so long the rude nurse came and told me that I wasn't the only patient there so and then told me she would call the police if I didn't leave because I was upset and sick and not being seen. Very unprofessional and needs to be shut down and everyone go to St Marys and or Milledgeville because this place is a joke.
Not to mention a month ago my husband was throwing up blood in the waiting room hours away from dying and they were only worried about getting his name and address as he's begging for a doctor when he was transported to ATL they said he could have died because of their incompetents.
