The staff and service was great! They got my dog in immediately after ingesting a box of raisins. Took care of her and explained everything they did and necessary follow up action required. They explained that she could either be admitted or return for all follow up action required and that they were comfortable with either choice I made.

I cannot thank the team at Premier enough for the exceptional care they provided for my sweet old dog after his emergency surgery. Since our original vet wasn’t 24-hour, we had to transfer him here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a stressful time.

Dr. Pierson was outstanding—taking the time to thoroughly explain every detail about my dog’s condition, his treatment plan, and what to expect. Their communication was excellent, and I always felt informed and reassured throughout his stay. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients and their families.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly, compassionate, and attentive. From the front desk to the medical team, everyone went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and that I felt supported.

If you’re ever in need of emergency care for your pet, I highly recommend Premier. Their professionalism, kindness, and excellent communication truly set them apart.

He is now resting at home with his kiddos who were beyond excited to have him home!

Everybody at this facility was so nice and professional. It’s hard to come by an emergency clinic that will take care of you with such ease. I came in with a very sick kitten that I got from a shelter 3 days before, and was not expecting this financial burden. They worked with me to the best of their abilities and made sure that when I left, my kitten was healthy enough to last the night until I could get to a low cost clinic. They even gave me a paper with a list of low cost vets. Thank you for your help premier veterinary!

I am deeply disappointed with the care my dog, an otherwise healthy 8 year old beagle, received at Premier Veterinary Group - Orland Park. She was admitted as an emergency case for Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS) around midnight and began 24-hour treatment. Unfortunately, within 24 hours, she tragically passed away.

While under their care, it appears my dog developed sepsis due to negligence in monitoring and timely action. I requested and reviewed her documentation and found that her vitals were not consistently recorded throughout the morning and afternoon. We received a single update at 7 AM, but no further communication until we were informed just after 4 PM that her condition had deteriorated significantly.

The prognosis for AHDS is generally good with aggressive therapy and continuous monitoring, yet it seems she was not given the necessary attention by the doctors and team, which may have led to a late administration of antibiotics when her condition had already worsened.

Additionally, our attempts to discuss her case and seek clarity were met with frustration. We were told by the front desk that we could not speak to the doctors directly and all communication needed to happen via the hospital director. Despite assurances that a doctor would call us, we never received any follow-up, even after several weeks.

This experience has left us feeling that Premier Veterinary Group prioritizes profits over compassionate care. They were prompt to accept payment but failed to deliver the adequate care and communication we desperately needed during this critical time

While I understand that emergency situations leave little time for research, I strongly urge other pet owners to explore other options before bringing your pet to Premier Veterinary Group - Orland Park, if possible. Your pet deserves the best care, especially in critical moments.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: Despite the assurances given in your reply, we have not received any further communication since July 1st, which was an email stating a doctor would call. We have not received a call from the doctor or heard back from anyone in this office since.

The lack of follow-up and response to my review only underscores the communication issues we faced during our difficult time. We are disappointed that our questions remain unanswered and that the compassionate and professional care you claim to exercise has not been upheld.

After being turned away by vet hospitals in my area, we were directed to Premier. I arrived with my cat at 5:45pm. I didnt have any wait time. I was directly put into a room for my cat to be seen. She was quickly attended too. My cat's procedure took about an hour and a half. I was told I could leave and come back but decided to wait. I was out with my cat and instructions for care just before 8pm. The ER bill of course was astronomical, even the provider said it would have been more affordable at my own vet but emergency room rates are different. That would be my only complaint, but overall an efficient experience.

I cannot express how truly appreciative I am of all the staff. I had to take my beloved cat on an emergency visit during the pandemic where they performed emergency surgery after he was attacked by a hawk. I had to call on their services again recently and found out he had cancer and severely low kidney function. There was not much that could've been done and I had to make one of the hardest decisions in my life. They thoroughly talked me through process of what would happen when they would administer the medications that would have him cross the rainbow bridge. They gave me as much time as I needed with my cat and let me hold him during the last moments of his life. He passed in my arms. They even provided me with information for support groups for people who lost their pets; a social worker called me a few days later to see how I was doing. The staff was extremely empathetic and I will always remember that. Thank you, Premier Veterinary Group.

They took good care of our baby. Communicated well with updates by phone on how our dog did at night. Friendly people. Vet Staff set some realistic expectations for the emergency care she was going to need. Discharge instructions given in paper with clear care instructions. Clear itemized billing was provided.
