Dr Kuhn and her team literally saved my dogs life! They were attentive and caring the entire way thru and treated both myself and my baby with compassion and kindness. They never made me feel like a pest for calling to check in, and made sure he was as comfy as possible the whole time he was here. I gladly drive a little over an hour to see the team here now as our regular vet!

Both visits we have had here have been good. Staff here is caring and helpful. Our golden could barely walk when we came in on an emergency visit and now she is doing well. Staff calls to check on her and they are flexible when it comes to when to get her testings done.

i recently had to put my cat to sleep here, and to be honest it can’t be a great experience with that in mind, but we could’ve had a much better and easier time saying goodbye. our vet was good, she was informed and well spoken, but beat around the bush. every time she came into the room she had something new to tell us about what our cat may be going through, and mentioned treatment, but that there was no true guarantee that she would survive through surgery, and even if she did, she’d likely become sick again. i’m not sure if it was an assistant, or a student tech who came into the room as well, but she did not seem to be well informed on the situation, nor how to treat people who are saying goodbye to their animal. we were interrupted more than a couple times while holding our now deceased cat if we were ready to check out and go over payment, which was really insensitive and rude. we also requested to take home the towel our cat laid on during her final moments, and did not receive it. (the towel was going to be to provide a bit more of a scent for our other cat, they said it would be no problem for us to take it) overall this was not a great day, being told that our cat COULD have life saving treatment, but also she could just die anyway every single time we saw either of them was really confusing. when i asked our vet what she would do for a cat in this situation, she replied that it was an unfair question, but ultimately she’d advise a family member to euthanize. also not the vet's fault, but super ridiculous that you have to pay so much money to put your cat to sleep and receive her ashes. kinda feels like it should be free.

edit because i saw the response.

the fact that we were interrupted multiple times, while holding our cat’s freshly euthanized body, for MONEY is absolutely disgusting. these people do not care about you or your pet, they care about being paid.

My diabetic cat has been going to Prairie Animal Hospital for five years. They have taken good care of her. This week though she got really sick really quick and we knew it was her time to go. PAH provided excellent end of life care. We were in a quiet room with a couch and was comfy cozy. I was able hold my dear cat as they performed the euthanization. The staff were excellent and compassionate and very respectful of the time we needed to say goodbye. I was very impressed. Still doesn’t make it easy to say goodbye though.

10/4/2024-Just wanted to edit my review to say that I still love Dr Kuhn and her staff. They are kind, compassionate and caring. Recently my Beagle, Piper, has been having issues with coughing. It turns out it's a more serious health issue than we originally thought. But Dr Kuhn and her staff have been absolutely wonderful in helping us help my sweet Piper. I drive over a half hour just to take my animals here and it is a million percent worth it. Love Love Love Prairie Animal!!

I had been going to another vet for years and years. I didn't realize what I wasn't getting from my former vet. This vet is funny, kind, courteous and caring. It's not just about money here. They truly care for your pet. They don't talk down to you and explain everything. And they don't shame you when you say no to services due to money issues. And it's not just Dr Kuhn, the rest of the staff is fabulous as well. The best!

This is the best vet around! I have brought both my dogs here since they were little pups and I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable doctor or a more kind and understanding staff. You can tell they really care about their patients! I would give this facility 10 stars if I could!

We take our 3 cats here and the staff is so nice and helpful! We got our kitten Ivy spayed at this vet and the staff was very knowledgeable and supportive during her healing process. This clinic offers text messaging with clients if you have any questions about your pet. Staff is very friendly and works with our 3 cats very well during visits. Would recommend to other pet owners!

I recently had to rush my very sick little orange kitten, Rizzo, to Prairie Animal Hospital and I cannot say enough good things about my experience!
From the moment I walked in the door, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone was so compassionate and understanding, which really helped ease my anxiety during a stressful situation. They were especially gentle and patient with my tiny orange baby, Rizzo, which I really appreciated.
They were very thorough in examining Rizzo and took the time to explain everything to me in detail, answering all my questions patiently. I never felt rushed and left feeling confident that Rizzo was in excellent hands and would receive the best possible care.
I highly recommend Prairie Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a veterinarian who provides not only top-notch medical care but also genuine compassion and excellent customer service. They truly went above and beyond .
