We are new here and my dog got very sick. She went to the ER and spent the day at the hospital. When I called to make an appointment they got us in quicker than any place else I called. The staff is very friendly and so helpful. Dr. Carmody was awesome. She treated Pepper with the gentlest of care. She made herself familiar with Peppers past records. She gave her a complete exam and instead of putting her on more medication she treated her with a new food. It worked. Within a few days Pepper was feeling better. I am so happy we found a new vet so quickly after moving here. I would recommend them 100%

They Love Waldo, and they're very accommodating. Pricing is reasonable too. They are very good at handling our dog with Love and Care.

I couldn't recommend Placerville Vet more. I don't usually leave reviews unless I get above and beyond service and this is what I get here and it's a well earned review!! We have been a part of the Placerville Vet family for a few years now and the staff and Vets are all so kind and amazing with our pets. You can tell that each and every one of them wants to be there and genuinely cares for your animals. We have two dogs and two cats so we've been in quite a bit haha. Just last week we had a big scare with our 3 year old labradoodle. We were out of town and our pet sitters called us and told us they noticed a lump forming on his neck. We got home that night and it had turned into a nasty sore/wound the size of a silver dollar. We called Placerville Vet right before they were going to close and they set us up for the first appointment the next morning. This lump was nasty and we were freaking out if it was a foxtail or snake bite, we had no idea but he was thankfully eating, drinking and acting like himself so we kept an eye on him until then.. we were scared about the vet bill though since it seemed like he would need to be put under, maybe have the wound opened to see if any foreign bodies were in there or needed to drain it, etc. etc. Ok long story short, the vets were amazing and not just care about your pets, but they care about you.. what I thought was going to be a 1k bill ended up being about $180. When the vet called me to tell me what was going on, she said she thought it was a spider bite that got infected and to avoid putting our pup under, they just went slow and took their time shaving around the area and cleaning around the area. They gave him breaks and just took their time. This meant so much because they could have easily said he needed to be put under to do all of this but they knew the cost and the burden to us and wanted to try this first before jumping to what might have been easier for them. It probably doubled or maybe tripled their time taking care of him but that's what they do- they take care of their animals/patients and their families. They also gave us a few options when it came to treatment and helped us come up with the best plan for our pup and it aligned with what we were thinking too. I will just end here to say we have been coming here for years and have only had good experiences with them and I highly recommend Placerville Vet!

This is the Veterinary Clinic where they love your pets as much as you do. Every staff member I have encountered always greets us with kindness and understanding even under the most difficult of times. My dogs have never been better taken of than at Placerville Veterinary Clinic. The prices are reasonable, the staff is wonderful!

I recently moved here from another state, and I didn’t know what to expect. I really liked our vet back home and was skeptical of change. I chose Placerville Vet after many phone calls to multiple other options due to their accessibility, affordability, cordiality, as well as their communication. We’ve been taking our pets to Placerville Veterinary Clinic for about 40 years & wouldn’t go anywhere else. Our young, girl kitty had her first visit there recently and it was a positive experience for her. Dr. Barbara is very gentle and thorough. The staff was pleasant and welcoming.
