The employees at this store are knowledgeable without being pretentious. If they don’t know, they’ll help you out. If you’re looking for something they’ll take you to the product instead of waving in the general direction. They’re always busy taking care of the live animals- I’ve never seen a dead fish or algae in any of their tanks. And they know my dogs by name and personality and take their time to stop what they’re doing (unless they’re with a customer- and even then they say hi and find them when they’re done) and give them loves. While my dogs have turned away from other employees at other stores, they get excited and hunt out all of the employees here to say hi.

Being a "Noah" of my family,house,caring for the beasts has long been my calling!
And this place has made it most enjoyable! I'm @3rd Street,they are 1368 North Galena Ave.,so it's quite a bike ride!! Yet,for my first Beared ? Dragon,they gave me all I needed! Reasonable costs, information SHEETS! When I needed enough for cab cost at one time,they gave me discounts,so I could still use a cab!! Since starting, it's still worth the journey!

We really love this store. Every time we're there they're courteous and helpful, and when they're not sure of something they find someone who is. Today was no different. We were there with all four of our dogs, and Courtney recognized us immediately (and our dogs, their names, and their stories!!) although it's been several months since we were there last. We were specifically shopping for toys for Zelie and Dora, who are turning out to be chewers. Courtney was extremely helpful, listened to our needs, and pointed out many options. We took five products knowing we could return whichever ones Zelie and Dora didn't like. It was also a special event day, so they gave each of our girls their very own homemade cupcake, and a baggie of treats to take with us. When we got home, we presented Zelie and Dora all the new toys and Z instantly chose her fave (in the pix). Good call Courtney, and another successful and fun trip to the PS+?

Solid prices and constant discounts on dog and cat food. Pretty decent selection on toys, treats, and reptiles. The staff is always friendly and asks me if I need help every single time. DJ is always there when I come in, and he has always been chill and kind.

The two people working, a young woman and a young man both opened the door for me as I have a sling with a shoulder injury at the moment, they also helped me find a product for my dog who is going through a false pregnancy. Both were very sympathetic and helpful. They did all this while also greeting customers who came in. I would recommend this store. Made my day better, thank you!

If I could have a negative star rating this would be the one. The young man working needs a lesson in manners and customer service 101 class. Upon arriving to go in and pick up my order I was so kindly greeted by the young man on his phone explaining to a friend that he had to hurry and wait on me to get me out of his store. Then proceeded to belittle me in front of other customers as I just stated I was called my order was in. Needless to say I waited a few min and receive no assistance so I left. I will NOT go back to this store sadly I will have to drive a bit further for proper service.

Horrible customer service. The dixon il store has one of the rudest female employees I have ever encountered. I had fish that kept dying from 1 of their tanks and she didn't want to refund my $$. The 2 fish I purchased from a seperate tank are doing great.

Courtney the assistant manager was awesome. We are having issues with our snake and she helped us understanding the proper steps to take care of it. Now the manager Eric doesn’t know so much when it comes to these pets, the corporate office really needs to listen to customers when we are telling you this guy doesn’t know animals. But always pretends too. He says snakes don’t climb well that’s not true at all!
