Our family has had the best experience here. I found this place by driving down Fabyan a couple of months ago, and decided to look into their services. I was very impressed by their customer service and the care and concern they showed us from day 1. We have done grooming, and our pup just went there for a half day this weekend. It’s obvious from the phone calls to the moment you walk in that that these are people who love their job and love pets…so friendly and family oriented. I took a tour of the whole facility to consider future boarding, and also completed the required pet evaluation. They sent me a video of my puppy during her eval to let me know she was having a great time. Just above and beyond! Every person I talk with has been working there for years, and that’s always a signal to me that they love what they do! I appreciated how down to earth it was and they instantly felt like family.

If you’re wondering about Paws In Time, or have a concern, I’d highly recommend visiting them and getting a tour. I think you’ll get a sense of their quality of care and what quality people they are! They are open and honest about their services and facility.

Paws In Time has been a part of our family since 2007. Our dogs adore going to play, and love spending weekends, holidays and vacations there. It’s such an excellent establishment run by amazing and talented dog lovers. They even have the most adorable kitties welcoming every visitor in the front office! I don’t know what we’d do without Julie and her team. They have walked us through some of the hardest times with our dogs - the loss of one, major surgery and near death of another one- and have always welcomed and loved on our new puppies from the earliest ages that are welcome through their doors. They have been lifesavers, and such fabulous support in training and wellness of all our dogs. When one of my puppies went missing from our yard AT HOME, Julie came over and used her behavioral expertise to give me tips and helped me search for her! That is the depth of her dedication and love for her clients.

BEWARE! Sadly, the negligence of Paws in Time resulted in the mauling and death of our family pet - a small Maltese - by a large, under evaluated, unsupervised recent rescue. If that weren't bad enough, the owner offered no apology, no empathy, and even demanded payment for the couple days prior to our dog dying in their facility. They didn't report the incident to the county as required by law. How can they still have a licence? Do not use this business!

This happened to a direct family member of mine who is still suffering from the loss of dog and the abdominal way that the owner handled the situation. This owner blew it and is desperately trying to save face now by twisting what happened - too little, too late. Everything written above is accurate - buyer beware if you trust your pets safety and life going here.

The people at the West Chicago location treat my dog like family. She has been going here since she was a puppy and can't contain her excitement when we drive anywhere in the vicinity. They take the time to thoroughly assess new dogs and introduce them to the daycare crowd. There is plenty for the dogs to play with (including pools in summer), and every time I drive around back to peek in staff is actively playing with and keeping an eye on the pack.

We have boarded our dog here many times and they encourage you to make a list of everything you'd do for your dog at home and assure you they will do everything in their power to do exactly the same while your pup is staying.

You don't have a lot of bells and whistles like live video, but I'd take great, attentive dog care over frills every time. I trust that Paws In Time will do anything necessary to care for my dog when she is there and that is all I need.

Rita, the fur parent of Maxwell, the dog mauled to death at PiT is a dear friend and the owner of PiT is gaslighting everyone and trying to write her own narrative of what happened in July 2024 so she comes off looking like a concerned business owner. The owner of PiT has responded a little too little too late on this matter in and in fact has re-written and posted a narrative that shows remorse, but if in fact she was, she'd have actually done what she claims but that is not what happened the day Maxwell died in their facility. In fact it was not the owner but an employee that called Rita immediately after it happened and before Julie (business owner) could circle the wagons by getting with her employee to matched up what happened to jive with Julie's false statement. Rita was called on vacation and told by the employee that the dogs were left unattended for 2 minutes and when they returned to the room Maxwell was already dead on the floor from the mauling. The fact that Julie's statement claims she called and cried with Rita is a fallacy. According to Rita this never happened and when she tried to talk with Julie about it, trying to understand how her beloved pet was killed, Julie would not take her calls and diverted her to an employee. I don’t know about you, but logic is that the employees’ version is the correct one, a traumatic thing just happened and they called her, telling exactly what was witnessed, in the raw moment of it all vs: “I called myself and we cried”. All that was done was she was offered a refund for the period her dog was to be there after his death but she still insisted on payment for the period prior to his death, outrageous!. That is as cold as cold gets. Further, since Rita has posted her story she has been contacted by other past clients that have removed their pets because of incidents that had occurred when their pets were there. Simply because this is being posted and others didn't, does not mean it's not the first time a dog has been injured there. Some requiring vet care. If they were concerned they would have gotten in front of it and addressed it publicly when it happened but did not. The owner of PiT claims it was because of litigation. There was no litigation at that time, simply a distraught Fur-mom that wanted answers and wasn’t given the courtesy of a conversation with the business owner. They can paint a picture to downplay what happened and even claim this is the first time they've had a mishap but the emails Rita has been receiving says otherwise.
On a footnote PiT has had all Yelp reviews removed that tell of Maxwell’s death (a service Yelp provides if you are willing to pay them to remove bad reviews - I know as I was a business owner and a service that they offered me - I declined). She’s blocked anyone that questions her false statements on her site where she only released her bs statement about the death after noting Rita started to share her story publicly to save another family this torment.

Paws West Chicago is awesome. I can drop off my dog for a play day, grooming or boarding and not worry. I open the car door and ask if she want to play and she is in the car waiting for me. Everyone who works there is kind and caring. No better for your pup.
